Lowering the pressure will improve ride comfort, but it won't help with the
original problem. It'll make it worse if anything.

Sorry, got carried away wondering if the gauge was accurate.

They run at 85PSI - the maximum indicated on the tyre wall.

I remember reading here way back that you should usually run tyres as
hard as possible and I actually prefer the way they feel when that hard.
A slightly bumpier ride on poor surfaces but much nicer on good ones.
