I just think it's too bad that ET wasn't done with his suspension this year so he could follow up his Grande-Tour-Triple with a double gold in the World Championships and Olympics.

Heck, he might have even pulled off the quad-gold if his time-trialing kept improving at the same rate as before.

Even by Vader standards that's a great line Chapeau!

I need to remember to finish drinking my coffee in the morning before reading this. I almost lost most of it from laughing at this post.

Gotto love cyclingweekly's picture for their article:

No Triple Crown for AC, even though he as only won one of the races the races in it this year.

Let's hope that they don't flip flop on this decision a couple of weeks before the start of the Tour.

I can hear it now, if they do. "We only had 2 weeks to prepare" while one of the Astanafiles stands on the podium.

Broken is a bit much. It will be fissures or hair-line fractures.

What a coup for the Vuelta, to be the race where AC could join the ranks of such other great cyclists! Also, for this to happen in AC's home country is wonderful.

AC will get the assistance of not only Levi and Klodie, but also Brajkovich (to help on the climbs) and Noval (to pull in the flats). And likely Rubiera. Hoooooray!

He would definitely be the most popular cyclist in the Vuelta with the crowds and all. Valverde would be quite jealous.

Even before the Vuelta, Valverde, if he is the jealous type, would be jealous of AC's TdF 07 and Giro 08 wins. What Grand Tour has Valverde won so far?

So you have become an honorary Spaniard now?
