It would have been very interesting if he had not conceded that 14+ minutes on the stage when he crashed with Leipheimer, Visconti, etc.

The protagonists either would have marked his moves or limited the damages, rather than giving him his head.

I doubt because of Bruyneel's statement which would look stupid if he were aware of it!

Its amazing how close you become when sharing needles:

“It is amazing what the others did for me. Riders like Levi Leipheimer and Andreas Klöden, who are potential Grand Tour winners themselves, worked for me like all other teammates did: Assan Bazayev, Toni Colom, Vladimir Gusev, Maxim Iglinskiy, Andrey Mizurov and Steve Morabito. A sick Andreas Klöden did so much for me. I didn’t know him well before this Giro. I think I have found a new friend. It is amazing how we all grew close to each other during these weeks,” the ‘07 Tour and now ’08 Giro winner said.

Yes true ! LOL ! Although Ricco made a better statement on his team....

“I must thank the whole team. With my winners mentality it is true that I am not the easiest person to get along with.”

Pro cycling has made us such cynics eh? It could just be that Contadope is genuinely thankful for the help Kloden provided. Yeah right!

Piepoli might not have minded pulling out of the Tour a bit early after all

*Goes to start a thread "Rumour: Piepoli couldn't stand Riccò so he just pulled out"

Well you've got to admire his commitment to keeping up appearences then given the crash that ended his tour.

Aww, so sweet!

I should be more disagreeable more often!

The UCI will announce next week that Kloden has invalid blood parameters & must take two weeks out of the sport. Bruynneel was asked to remove him as Kloden finishing wouldn't be good for the team.

Rubbish. If the hog is an insider like we all suspect him to be, there's no way he would be extolling the virtues of Kloden in the media post-giro.

Is this something concrete or are you just pulling our leg?

Internet talk from people who say they "known"........... so I can't validate it but they are confident of the information. Hence maybe why Bruyneel has been talking up the internal dope tests...... ie "yes we had our suspicions about Kloden and we informed the UCI who ran their own tests" etc. etc.
