Okay, Zabel may be the best known for it, and Boonen may be the one
most recently known for it, but losing a race due to premature celebration is just gay. But, even gay-er (more gay?) is saluting from 20+ meters back when your teammate wins. "look at me, I helped that guy up there win!!!" http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2...08TDG_dominguez |

I like it and if you read the race report it sounds like he earned the right. It also makes the teamwork a little more obvious to the dumbasses who wouldn't notice otherwise. Bret |

You think you know all my views, without even stating them, yet you are a scared little PC baby to actually state yours. Lets hear one that is not a fence balancing act?? I ask a question that pretty much sums up the nature vs. nurture issue and that means I am a homophobe? Classic wacko socialist free speech bashing maybe?? "I believe in free speech.... Celebrating when your teammate wins = awesome, because despite the dumbassery on display in this thread, cycling is a team sport. Celebrating as you're getting beaten, a la Zabel or Boonen = mortifying. Seriously, an unprofessional thing, because it means you WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION! Cavendish demonstrated the proper place to make a fool of yourself with an overexuberant victory celebration: on the podium, holding the victor's magnum. Maybe now his sponsor can get him some of those cleatless victory shoes, -- Ryan Cousineau rcousine@gmail.com http://www.wiredcola.com/ "In other newsgroups, they killfile trolls." IF someone does not agree with homosexuality they must be a closet gay? That is as bad as anyone that says anything bad about someone and that someone is other than white they _must_ be racist... |

Here's one: In my view you're a knuckle-dragging cretin with accidental knowledge of how to turn on a computer, to the detriment of Usenet. > I ask a question that pretty much sums up the nature vs. nurture issue and > that means I am a homophobe? > No. The rest of your posting history quite clearly reveals you to be a homophobe. And your question summed up nothing but rather provides a shining example towards validating my view, clearly and unequivocally stated above. |
