Default FAO Decent-Minded Camera Supporters

If you're a genuinely decent, nice person who (however misguidedly)
really does believe that cameras save lives, and you thus support them
for that reason, then *surely* you must have misgivings about some of
the more prominent camera advocates on the Internet. Do you really
think that Spindrift is a good ambassador for your cause? Do you
really think that Chapman is? Presumably you would like to think that
those who speak on your behalf are decent, and support cameras wholly
because they think they save lives, like you. Presumably you would be
against those who hate motorists, and/or gain personally from cameras,
muscling in on your cause and pretending that they care about saving
lives, when really they don't at all and they're just out for
themselves. Again, you surely don't believe that those sorts of
people (who *undoubtedly* exist) are the best mouthpieces for your
campaign.

If you support cameras, but you think Spindrift and/or others who
speak out in favour of cameras are doing harm to your cause, please
have the guts to say so. I'm sure that if there are any decent-minded
camera supporters left on the Internet, some of them must feel that
way. People have seen Spindrift's posts, they've seen Chapman's
posts, and it is amply evident that they are extremely unpleasant and
anything but altruistic. I can't believe that (assuming any exist)
every, or indeed any, decent-minded camera supporter is happy with
Spindrift's conduct. He has more than earned his bad reputation, and
camera supporters who really think that cameras save lives would be
doing themselves a huge favour by disowning him and his ilk.

I think it's either a trollbot or a chav. It could be an atttempt
to get a trollbot to pass a Turing test, but I suspect that would
fail the "intelligent" part of the definition. No, probably a chav.

Zog,

Predictable and OTT in my view.

Otherwise I can't imagine why he spends his evenings so, surely there's
better ways to enjoy oneself?

Truth is (for me), I realy enjoy cycling, I've always known we're vulnerable
and now (after a recent BAD event) I'm really "twitchy" about drivers
crossing my path & etc., injuring me again.

As a motorist also - like so many on here I'm not "anti-motorist", but I'm
certainly against the "top gear" type of speed adulating / wet your trousers
at shiny cars/ XJZ660/ mindless car idolatry that we all can observe.

Bad / inconsiderate / stupid / ignorant drivers poil my perfectly legitamate
lawful pursuit. Many / most drivers really are OK.
Little I can personally do about any of this. It may be that there are
simply too many cars on our roads. I'll perhaps write more tomorrow - it's
late now, goodnight all.

John

I classify him a mission poster. Argument is futile.

Mr. Charles Kennedy (Krankieburgh): Would the Prime Minister
care to comment on a report in today's Guardian that he: "arrived
late for a meeting with Jacques Chirac, smelling of alcohol, and
with body language suggesting a total disregard for the rights
of ethnic minorities, lone parents and laboratory animals"?

I imagine he spends his evenings composing his posts using a
breath-activated computer (a la Hawkings) since being confined to a
wheelchair after an unfortunate road accident caused by his trying to speed
and masturbate at the same time.

But that, of course, is only _my_ imagination. I'm sure others can do
better...

Nobody said that. What is incredible, however, is that you
apparently consider that you are a good ambassador for yours.
Astonishing.

Clearly we all want "PEOPLE TO DIE IN THEIR THOUSANDS FOR THEIR OWN
SELFISH REASONS".

It's clear that the "bright flash" in the tunnel when Diana was killed
was caused by a portable speed camera. I can now reveal that this
operation was carried out by the MAMA (Murder All Motorists Army) -
French division (L'armee de mise a mort tous les personnes qui
conduire les voitures, surtout les conduirers des "tracteurs de
Chelsea"). The perpetrators escaped on their bicycles and, due to
pressure from the French police, transferred their attentions to the
UK. Posing as concerned road-safety campaigners, they have recognised
that putting a speed camera up beside a road automatically means that
more motorists will die. This audacious campaign, carried out under
the noses of the authorities, has finally been identified for what it
is. Zut alors!

Peter.

(Sorry if something similar is posted twice; a glitch when I pressed
"send")

After watching the news the other night, I have come to the inescapable
conclusion that Nuxxy-Wuxxy and Robert Mugabe are THE SAME PERSON...
