No it won't, I'm planning to cycle to Tarago and back on Saturday
afternoon to prevent just that type of cheating.

And I'm a recumbent rider, so not a "cyclist" at all. Don't wear the special clothing....

Doesn't pants with tight legs count as special clothing for recumbent
riders?

I own a bicycle? does that count?

The missus wants me to use it more often ... but that seems like a
whole lot of effort

Count for what? It might mean you are a moto with cyclo tendencies.
That's like being half Liberal mate.

There's a follow up line to this, but I'm too tired to post it.

You own a car? Same diff.

I bet your bicycle has a freewheel. The next step is to add a motor
and then what have you got?

Admittedly, if there is ever an Unaugaral that doesn't clash with the
Vets 2 Day, I'd probably choose the tourer over the fixie.

A skirt would really count as "special".
