Well if you expect to come here and find a BS free site, then I am afraid you have another thing coming. This site is as full of BS as any other forum, as well as many foul mouthed louts, who are not discouraged from using such language. I have found that many of the people banned from BF deserved the bannings they received. It isn't only what you see in the open forums but in PMs as well. I am a member of both forums, and while I spend most of my time in BF I have to say that in comparing the 2, this one has its shortcomings. I find BF alot more interesting and entertaining, as well as informative, simply based on the variety of information to be had. This site has more good useful training information.

As far as the admins go, this site was a veritable spam factory for alomst 2 years. I remembered emailing Steve here in March of 2006 complaining about the spam and being told then that the problem would be corrected by May of that year. It finally took a mass exodus of members and (I am speculating here based on the threads started about it) a boatload of complaints and PMs for that to finally be taken care of...at least for now. This admin for far too long either ignored the wishes of his members or simply lost touch with them, which is far worse than what goes on in BF. Now that the spam is gone from here I still don't see that alot of the disillusioned members have returned yet. Perhaps they will. I hope so as I enjoy both sites when things are the way they are supposed to be. To come in here and try to start a pissing contest between the 2 forums is both juvenile and in terribly bad form. There are a few members in here who belong to both forums and enjoy them both. If you do not like one or the other, that is your prerogative. You will not, however, see me going into BF and saying "Man, cyclingforums.com sucks and I got tired of the BS so I left, has anyone else done that?"

If the mods and admin of the other forum seem to be enforcing the forum rules like the gestapo that is because the enforcement pretty much went out the window right before Joe left. It actually began its downfall right after the Aussies and one of the mods (whom I shall not name) had it out in BF. That mod abruptly gave up their position, for which I was glad and after that all begna a downward spiral. If the current mods and admin ss fit to finally begin enforcing the existing rules I think that is a good thing. The only ones complaining are the rabble rousers anyway.

Nonethelss if you are here long enough you will see that the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side, as I said before, to each his own.

Please forgive the length of my post, I ramble when I am at work on a Saturday

Cheers,

Brian
