Rogers is the one in doubt. One of the riders on the 2006 team did not go to Freiburg to get a transfusion. It is likely to be Rogers.
This is one of the reasons why Armstrong wanted an exclusive relationship with Ferrari. The more riders that his doctor services, the higher the chance someone squeals and he gets taken down in the storm.

The predictable Paceline spin on it:

bambi: Great, just what we needed...

LeahM: My oh my!!! This can really hurt Astana whether or not it is true!!!

anculator (whom I love ):
From http://www.lequipe.fr/Cyclisme/20080307_214708Dev.html

Klöden could have been named !

bambi in response (whom I loathe):
anculator, once again, please translate if you post something that is not written in English. Thanks! (xenophobes like her make me want to vomit.)

AnnieSaxon (another wonderful example of moronity): Yeah, unfortunately most of our members doesn't speak French!

DArtagnon (the dumbest of the dumb):
Threaten a guy with jail time if he doesn't talk, sure enough, he'll talk -- even if it means he has to make something up. Such testimony is about a reliable as that which is obtained via bribery or torture.

Best regards,

D'Artagnon (AKA stupidsmegmaeatingbeastophile#1)

bambi:
I agree DA, even if it was true, no court would accept this as "proof" since the accused was threatened. But in this mad cycling world, who knows what this will cause...
Klöden better speak up asap, otherwise he can bring the hole team down... We already lost Disco, I don't want to lose the new Astana too... (classic denial....classic!)

umwolverine: it's the salem witch trials, circa 2008 (when all else fails, pull out the completely hyperbolic (made that one up) and historically ignorant comparison)

I will lurk that thread for the next few days and pull out the juciest bits of the moronathon that should ensue. I will try to provide color commentary also, makes it more fun for me.

You know, the kicker is with the whole Kloden thing that IF the Paceline forum existed in 2005 and 2004, the whole crowd there would be cursing him and accusing him of doping as he was, in my view, a stronger opponent of Lance than Jan.
Funny how things turn around.

I think Andreas is damned talented but have been suprised that he has made it through all the flotsam from what was the T-Mobile team during the Lance years and 2006.

It's only logical that his time is up now. I wonder how long Bruyneel will stand by him.

Bruyneel is going to throw him under the bus so fast it's going to be a blur.

Abso-frickin-lutely.

Remember Lance outsprinting Kloden on the mountain stage when FLandis couldn't pull off the stage win.

Bruyneel made some statements at the beginning of the season to distance him self and the team from Kloden. Kloden will get thrown under the bus, probably on Monday.

I would, but it is an effort in futility. You just cannot fix that kind of stupidity. Seems as though we have someone over there with some sense (Archie Leach). I just can't get involved over there because dealing with people like DArtagnon and bambi make me begin to pray for Armageddon, and I need to stay positive as much as possible. Plus, it is more enjoyable to make fun of them here because I don't feel the need to restrain myself as much. There, I would be worried about saying things that would get me banned....again.....for no real reason. I am through getting IP banned. I will remain anonymous and ridicule them here.

I haven't contributed much to this forum but I did scare bambi off when she/he tried to join the FID a few months back... .

It was pure luck though in some sense cause I suspected bambi was trolling from DPF, which she/he probably was. It's comforting to see bambi's true colors now.

Thanks for braving that cesspool of willful ignorance and bringing back some gems.

you are kidding bro, more likely to be Guerini who was probably living in nthn Italy, Lombardia perhaps, where Rogers lives also however.

No way Rogers did not get a transfusion too.

I think he still looks to highroad for a pay check, either a future ride, or, Stapleton paid him out to keep his mouth shut on what Stapleton knew and the current High Road riders like Rogers.

Is it plausible Rogers did not get a transfusion? Think, he rode into the top ten comfortably, for the first time in his career, he timetrialled about at DZ's level, but was climbing in the last 10, while pulling for Kloden. If he rode for himself, would have been anywhere from 6-10. Certainly better than Dessel the AG2R rider who got most time on break.

Now we come to the "he wasn't part of 'our' team" portion of the program.

gyspyrey:I do not wish to smear Kloden in any way whatsoever, however I have never understood why JB kept him on....................he must have been very nervous about having him and I have never felt totally at ease with the situation..........................My information is that as a person he is almost unaproachable, he keeps his own schedule and basically does not talk to anyone unless he has to.....................at the training camp he was a total loner and one things for sure he is not a team player...................................There were also rumours that he was to leave at the end of 2008.

Guerini was Ullrich's climbing support for years. He was on T-Mobile since 1999. He has to have been on the same program as the rest of Ullrich's TdF crew.

I think there is evidence to suggest that T-Mobile had a clique that was given full support and outsiders to that clique who were on their own. There are too many examples of riders who went to T-Mobile and their performance suffered. The classic example is Botero who went from Kelme to T-Mob to Phonak. His performance took a downturn when going from Kelme to T-Mob, but miraculously improved when he went to Phonak. Other riders who had similar patterns are Julich, Evans, Savoldelli, Livingston, etc. T-Mob was famous for hiring top end riders and not getting anything out of them.

Between Rogers and Guerini I would choose Rogers as being on his own as far as medical preparation goes.
