Good point. I can understand members on a fan site getting irate when other members start posting, how will I put this, questions/points which might detract from their favourite rider. I can understand that. The problem starts when they frequent a site like this where there is more varied input and more broad-based knowledge of the sport.

Some people don't want the truth, nor do they want to hear from someone like me whose mind is closed on the subject. There is nothing that will ever sway me from my belief about LA. I wouldn't have posted very long over there anyway because I was determined to not rip someone up because of their misguided beliefs. I can only take so much ignorance/denial, and then I would have just left because they are boring and LA is a has-been. Each year brings a diminishing level of the importance of his tarnished legacy. Unfortunately, JB carries the torch, but he is now in the position of having to prove he and his team are clean which is a positive step IMO.

My issue is that they appear to be lemmings. There is just a total lack of critical thinking, so much so it is creepy. Two years ago Horner gave an interview where he mentioned that he didn't have the advantages in training of a rider like Armstrong, who could do things like fly to far off, warm places for a few days of training. The Armstrong homers and Disco fans jumped all over him, considering it an attack on The Lance. Now that Horner is on Astana, they are falling over themselves to say how cool he is. There is no consistency. I think that all the dumbasses who used to defend Armstrong from doping charges on all the various cycling forums have retreated to the Paceline, where they can have their own little world and reality won't intrude.

I was only kidding. I've never attempted to post. I had a draft post about Ferrari going, then said f**k it, why waste the time. |

I have found a new home at paceline. I may not renew my membership here. Sorry.

Jeff Vader started an FID thread at the paceline. He is posting Celine Dion and Guns of Navarone clips.

If you get a chance, check out the link to the Eddie Izzard routine talking about Jeff Vadar (set to leggo men). Frickin hilarious.

Now wait a minute Bro and TFF . . . I just rolled back into town and am trying to catch up, so granted I'm scanning quickly on all these threads, but how exactly could your IP get banned BEFORE you ever make a post? Or are you joking? Came in from a day of wind and snow on the slopes so perhaps my mind is frozen and I'm not quite up to speed with the facetious meter, but you lost me.

I think I should stop reading these other threads and head on over to the FID where I don't have to pay too much attention. ![]() Edit: Hey TDL, there's like 6 pages over there. Can you summarize those for me too? ![]() |
