Less than half a million euros out of a 17 million euro budget is sod all for an effective smokescreen. And Bruyneel took his usual medical staff with him from Disco.

The sponsors attitude to doping was signalled loud and clear by the attitude to Vino's positives. The smokescreen anti doping programme proves nothing - the hiring of Bruyneel, his medical staff and the association to Ferrari is priceless.

Another moronic remark. The people who are being paid those 400,000 are going to do their best to test and catch any doping riders. So it doesn't matter what your opinion is about Bruyneel and the sponsors. The program will have it's effect. And if the sponsors and Bruyneel wanted dopers, they wouldn't put such an effective road block in their own way. You would also have to make the same argument for all of the other teams that have doped in the past and implemented the same kinds of programs - which is most of them.

All of this is beside the point. No Bruyneel team has tested positive. And there is no evidence of any kind that throwing Astana out of the Tour will lower the odds of someone testing positive there. In fact, Menchov will win, and Menchov will be doped.

Do you believe that DISCATANA would have been on TDF with no anti-doping program ? Have you read the current rules which require a anti-doping program for every team.

I understand that disco has done nothing that most of the other teams haven't done. And their official record is cleaner than the majority of the other teams. I understand that the French cannot win anything these days and they are trying to blame all of their failures on the Americans. Face the truth poulidor - the French teams and the French riders suck. Tambourlain certainly does enjoy the sound of his own voice - what is it they say? Empty vessels make the most noise?

I particularly enjoyed the bigot comment, followed as it was by a flagrant piece of ill informed francophobia. Perhaps Tambourlain would enjoy reading the FFC on their countrywide anti doping initiatives that have been in place since Festina, rather than some spit in the wind smokescreen that Bruyneel is forced to have.

RE politics Bush sucks but the choices in 2000 and 2004 running against him were worse, believe it or not.

No it doesn't mean squat. They can't trace the handling, who had the sample, who had access to the samples, where they were kept. And the test proceedures themselves were not followed. The samples would have been better handled and tested by first year chemistry students. The standards are in place for a reason - and that is to insure no mistakes are made and no tampering is done. With the handling of those samples, you cannot make either statement. The results are 100% meaningless, except ..............................moderated
