I can't read stuff at the Paceline - bad for the blood pressure - sorry but you cannot possibly have a clear, objective, balanced view of a sport if you view it through such a blinkered focus. These are people who don't watch races unless their team are in them - how much of the sport can they really know? Very little. Whilst I feel sorry for them willfully denying themselves the beauty of many smaller races, I recoil from their world view, fueled as it is by a kind of xenophobia, a blind support of cheats and liars (let alone tacit support for a regime which has one of the worst human rights records in the world) and a hatred of others bred from a belief that we're all jealous of the cheats and liars and human rights abusers they worship. I find that kind of cliquish - almost cultish - atmosphere extremely bizarre and unpleasant. So I do appreciate the opportunity this thread gives to poke fun at such sad b*stards with such an ill conceived idea of the sport and total lack of knowledge of its history, traditions and myths. |

The best way to put how I feel reading the garbage over there is the cartoon of how a character's head gets red hot followed by steam escaping through the ears... |

This may be true. Ali on DP is a real piece of work. And Trust But Never Verify quickly devolved into a parody of doping apologism; the way they paint themselves as defenders of rights and justice is sick. The self righteousness is too much to take.

If North Korea supported Bruyneel, Dr. Swing would be on the Paceline with an NK flag as an avatar and do his winter training by goose stepping.

Seriously Bro. You are the leader of the CF GT "Other Forum" Covert Operations Special Forces... but you just can't help going in there and setting them straight in post #1.
Don't worry Bro. You're the straight man in this comedy team. Other's will just have to work around you quickly in the one or two days before you are banned... ![]()

It's just not worth investing the time. Plus the Paceline really creeps me out. It's way worse than DP ever was. I'll have to leave things to those who have a little subtlety.

I love how the Paceline members of the Paceline were falling over themselves to say they didn't censor posts and they welcomed other points of view, but it didn't take much for them to start banning people.
I never swore. I only posted things that were true, aside from Bruyneel's wife winning the Miss Kazakhstan pageant. I call bullshit on their willingness to listen to anything that doesn't mesh with their cult indoctrination.
