The DP post about the paceline has stirred up some members:

"I'm amazed that this forum has hit the rock bottom by quoting posts made in another forum. I thought this place would never sink so low, how wrong was I...
Disgusting..."

And ChrisH has proposed a new rule:

"No outside forum cross-posting
Copying posts from outside forums is not allowed. However, you may provide a brief comment with a link to the outside post. On the same token, we ask that you do not copy posts from the forums to outside forums. Provide a link instead.
"

Wow Bro. You should feel proud. H is proposing a rule in your honor. Maybe they can call it the anti-bro rule or something. Careful, if the rule is adopted and he sees you quote something from there over here, you will lose your posting privileges over there.

How many pages does the rule book there go to?

Isn't there some rule over there about how you're supposed to sit while posting? No crossed legs, palms flat on the table, fingers while at rest shall be on the home keys, no T-shirts, jeans or flip flops, dress pants and shoes, and button up shirts only. Hair must be cropped above the ear, sideburns must not exceed the earlobe...

What a nutty place.

Well, one thing's for sure, I think it's longer than the US Constitution.

Man, you guys spend 75% of your time here obsessively hating, 20% thinking and posting about other forums, 3% attacking people and 2% talking about cycling.

It's too bad it's only 2% cycling as some of the discussions can be quite good.

Actually jimmypop was the first to post a snippet from the paceline thread; so it's only fair that it be called the "Jimmy Rule," which could lead to a great verb. "I'll go grab some quotes so I can jimmy the paceline." or "Dude, one of your posts has been jimmied over at DP." He posted this:

Here's a gem:

"Yes, it seems an attempt to secure French victory; but also to flex their muscles in front of UCI."

Come Casa, you love it. You don't shit about cycling anyway, so what are crying about?

Yeah I got that. What I was referring to was the SECOND part of the rule (can't post quotes of DP stuff on other forums). That sounds like a bro-provoked one.

jim·my (jĭm'ē)
v., tr.v., -mied, -my·ing, -mies. To post a snippet of a thread from another Internet forum in order to make fun of the site.

[From the name jimmypop, a poster on DailyPeloton forums.]

Actually I love cycling, have since I first started riding seriously in the early 80's....which is exactly why I think you guys are sad little people based on the way your posting breaks down here. I do come here to see if there is any good discussions about cycling and do enjoy tweaking you obsessives when there isn't. I thought a good dicussion was beginning in the Lemond thread, but apparently I was wrong.

Btw Casa, I don't know whether your post was directed at me, since it fell right after mine. But, to be fair, I don't hate anybody (well, with limited exception at times ) and don't have issues with DP myself. As I've said before, I respect Vaughn and everyone there. I just take issue with the amount of rules in place there and the enforcement of those rules. It's a forum dynamic really. I don't blame any one person. I've respectfully expressed my views and as I've said before, it's Vaughn's playground to do with as he pleases. He provides the service, so he has the right to demand that people follow his rules if they want to partake in his forum.
