Its the American connection..... Hincapie/Stapleton = High Road & Bruyneel/Levi et al = Astana. RCS know singlehandly Hincapie/Bruyneel raped the the sport in the early 2000's. Yes everyone was taking gear but these guys took it to a level that had never been seen before. In addition to this its UCI payback. US POSTAL/Disco were part of the UCI globalisation scheme of cycling... therefore they would never ever test positive. Its pay back for the UCI fudging the results for years on end. Control is back with the Grand Tours and thats how it should remain. Bruyneel now has to pay for his years of shit stirring and backhanders. He should have left the sport when he was told to leave.

At the Paceline forums, the anger over Astana's rejection from the Giro is overflowing. Many former Disco-turned-Astana fans say that if the trend continues and Astana is not invited to the Tour, that they will give up and just not watch the Tour at all. Versus channel head honchos cannot be too pleased to hear that sort of sentiment. It is also clear that some percentage of the American fans who supported Disco have simply transferred their allegiance to Astana, and have not necessarily switched to supporting Slipstream as the main "American" team.

We need to get a mole over there on paceline to report on those guys. It has to be funnier than DPF. I am not sure I want to sully myself by signing up though.

They do have a point though regarding these biological passports. You can't have some of the teams in the race having to have them and the Pro-cont teams in the same race not needing to have them.
