I'll take that as an admission that you cannot find an example.

You can make an intellectual argument about athletes being libeled, but it would help your case if you could point to an actual example.

I can't because the way the system is it's impossible to win a libel case because it's impossible to prove you have never doped once you are accused. Just read this forum and you see excellent examples of people taking a rumor as truth and refusing to believe anything else. Why do you choose to only discuss this one aspect of what I am saying? Could it be because you are wrong about the rest of what I have said?

Invariably this will mean that the accuser, under cross examination in a court of law, is required to provide proof of the allegation that they're making against a rider.
If the accuser cannot provide proof to the court - then the libel is upheld and the plaintiff wins the case.

So can you name one rider who won a libel case concerning the allegation about doping by the media.

I found this statement to be very interesting. Thijs says that collaboration is almost impossible. That must make the races more stressful for the riders.

This whole thing gets more and more murky. Either the reporters did a shoddy job, or there's a coverup going on. If I remember correctly, the cyclists were the only athletes mentioned by name.

Since when does the plaintiff have to prove they never did it? For example: If some newspaper says that you are gay ...and you sue them for libel...you don't have to go to court and prove that you've never had gay sex. It is up to the defendant to prove, with evidence, that you are gay...and that his public statements weren't libelous.
