I believe this! I have thought about this myself. Scott Moniger is a good example. A reputed doper, she came up hot for elevated testosterone and guess what he had to back up his case? A bunch of containers of creatine or whey protein contaminated with androstenedione (spelling?) or andro. I mean, how convenient is that?

The fact is, clomid is used by athletes to recover their natural testosterone production after it's been suppressed from using anabolic steroids and exogenous testosterone. I e-mailed him on it and provided him with links to educate himself on performance enhancing substances. He deleted the athlete's statement and left it at "tested positive for clomid." Since then he's been reluctant to believe the crap some of these guys spew.

HR2, but Neil Rogers was scurrying over Lance at the Tour like a lost puppy. "Lance, Lance, Lance, where for art thou"

Yeah, but I don't think he'll do that anymore. I believe NR has seen the light. I've only recently started enjoying his reporting.

Rodgers is just following 'fashion', it is now trendy to be seen to be tough on doping. As soon as the trend changes back to head in the sand, so will Rodgers.

Bizzare.

I reckon the Marion Jones outcome and verdict is weighing on a lot of US cyclists who face allegations of doping.
I, for one, welcome the federal authorities stance on Jones :
bad enough she doped..she thought she could lie her way out .....and now she has to pay the price for that perjury.
Might persuade other dopers not to continue to lie.

The third person questions were followups from Johnson's questions.
It's a nice way of distinguishing the questions' origins, particularly since Landis has less control over any premise the question may have inferred.

The Landis originated questions were in the first person in which he has greater lattitude to frame the question.

huh ?
_____

A cyclist is suing the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for "overreaching its own rules and protocols," claiming the agency had planned to test the cyclist's backup urine sample even though the original A sample test came back negative.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday on behalf of "John Doe" in Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeks an injunction to prevent USADA from ever testing the B sample. The agency originally planned to test the B sample Jan. 15, the lawsuit says, but after the plaintiff's attorneys demanded that the agency scrap that test, USADA canceled it.

The lawsuit seeks to recoup damages the plaintiff claims were incurred when the anti-doping agency revealed the case to race organizers and the UCLA testing lab.

The plaintiff's name is redacted in the 25-page lawsuit, but the lawyers are Maurice Suh and Howard Jacobs, the same team that represents Floyd Landis in his doping case. Landis told the Associated Press he is not the plaintiff, and the dates mentioned in the lawsuit do not conform to Landis' race dates in the 2006 Tour de France.

Why do you say it won't be Kayle? There are all sorts of rumors about him testing positive during Superweek.

kayle, kyle, whatever...

it takes a threshold, to take legal action, one would assume he would have just taken his lumps.

Who was gonna finance his legal costs, yeah he got a business, but I thought he would have just gone quietly.

Well, even you have enough brainpower to put 2 and 2 together. If it is Kayle then it's obvious who would be bankrolling it.
