My only issue with Gore getting the Nobel is that it was given for "raising awareness," which I think is a bogus concept. Funny...I was just talking about this with a friend the other day. Specifically in regards to one of the characters on the Disco Everest series. He claims he is climbing Everest to help awareness of child abuse. Meanwhile he was trying to perform the first ever North summit South descent and back again. It seems pretty obvious he is there for his own personal goals. Same for the asthma guy. I wish they would just admit it. If I were to summit it would definetely be for me - in fact its really a very selfish act.
