Unhappy Nobel's prize for Fuentes ?

From http://www.lequipe.fr/Cyclisme/brev..._155832Dev.html :
Google translation:
Eufemiano Fuentes dreams to Nobel Prize. The Spanish doctor at the heart of blood doping affair that shakes the sport Spanish - and not only, since the spring of 2006 said in an interview with the German weekly Stern to be published Thursday. It's simple, for him, doping is simply the "therapeutic medicine."

"The high-level sport is a circus in which athletes' health is relegated to second place," he says in this particular interview. Maybe they would give me the Nobel Prize in 20 years, maybe going to build me a memorial. Or they kill me. "

Dr. Fuentes was interviewed by German journalists at his home in Tenerife, explains further avair recently undergone a period of depression. But obviously, he rues nothing, he congratulates himself even to have helped athletes to support efforts in essence inhuman. "The body of a professional cyclist is not made to endure three weeks of continuous efforts," he says. (With AFP)

too expedient.

then ask him, does he understand the phenomenon of doping? Ask him does he understand it is an "arms race" and by facilitating the heads of state, the stars in the peloton, it manages to filter down to youth sport, where athletes cannot be supervised. It filters through to women's sport, where hormones are more likely to play haywire on the PED regimen.

Perhaps someone, but one single person should ask him that. Convenient you are saying one is upholding the hippocratic oath, and earngn 60 thousand euro per patient, less costs.

Which Nobel prize is he dreaming of? Therapeutic medicine indeed!

Exactly. The guy got a Nobel for the biggest hoax in the History of man. When Carter got one I lost all respect to begin with then to add Gore only makes the Nobel prize an even bigger joke.

But didn't Gore invent the internet and global warming?

My only issue with Gore getting the Nobel is that it was given for "raising awareness," which I think is a bogus concept. It reminds me of lamers who want to go to Everest but don't want to pay for it themselves, so they latch onto some issue they can use for fundraising. I cannot help of seeing stuff like that as a scam.

At least Carter actually accomplished things.

Actually, whatever you want to think about Al Gore, I advise you not to take him on in an IQ test. The guy is freakishly weird so I've been told. It might be just a photographic memory. I have a retired friend who was a head of a government department under Clinton back in the early nineties. He told me that he met with Gore on a government plane trip. He handed Gore a 100 page (or thereabouts) document. Gore proceeded to speed read the document in front of his eyes, then minutes later, Gore started asking him very pertinent questions regarding the whole document. Needless to say, my friend was impressed at least at his reading comprehension skills. He also was very good at reading mountains of stuff and recalling the pertinent details which he could cite in meetings months later.

My friend wasn't even a Gore supporter.

Funny...I was just talking about this with a friend the other day. Specifically in regards to one of the characters on the Disco Everest series. He claims he is climbing Everest to help awareness of child abuse. Meanwhile he was trying to perform the first ever North summit South descent and back again. It seems pretty obvious he is there for his own personal goals. Same for the asthma guy. I wish they would just admit it. If I were to summit it would definetely be for me - in fact its really a very selfish act.
