Ok, just checking to see that it wasn't you. I didn't think it was, but didn't want to flame a friend.

Another by the way...pizza in Philadelphia sucks.

A tray of pizza is what they make in the school cafeteria...blech..

Just got back from seeing Iron Man....frickin hilarious...and serious too. But Robert Downey Jr was excellent.

And get this TFF... in one scene he's listening to a song in the background while he's working and it's...The Suicidal Tendencies..Institutionalized...

With travel and the death of the dog, I haven't watched any the the Giro until today. I just watched the stage Bennati won ahead of Zabel. What a great sprint. I don't know why the TV coverage in the tour doesn't use a helicopter for the finish like they do in the giro. You can see the whole process much better from above. All the bumping and pushing is awesome.

That being said, Merts (southern soul food) in uptown puts any type of food made outside of the south to shame in my opinion. The fried chicken and collards, with some squash caserole and a biscuit, and a slice of red velvet cake is a meal good enough to make a man cry. And the chicken and dumplings...don't even get me started. I made fried dill pickle slices (you heard right) a few nights ago, and I have to say that they were pretty freakin great too. I LOVE to eat.

I like fried pickles once in a while...never tried to make any. Used to get'em at a catfish place in Mississippi.

Best thing to eat down south is bobbacue...

You know, I was born in Virginia...and I think I was 8 or 9 years old before I realized "barbed" wire wasn't bob wire...

And here's a horror story from eating in NE PA... my parents took me to this restaurant that was famous for this gigantic brunch they served...like it had three rooms of buffet stuff in it...not a SINGLE biscuit... Now how is that possible, I ask you? NO biscuits...I remember they did have blood sausage...
