I've a feeling that one way or another, Piti will be taking a bit of a pay cut in the not too distant future.

Im sorry jhuskey but that was probably the stupidest thing anyone has ever said on this forum. Milan San Remo is one of the biggest day's in the cycling calendar and always has been. There aren't many bigger things you can have in your resume besides a race like milan- san remo. Besides maybe a yellow jersey. At the moment the only current rider to have one of those is contador.

Allan Davis is a big name rider!

Wasn't Davis cleared by the spanish anyway? Thats probably why he is still riding. Unless they have new evidence???

Not reading all my posts is stupid I said the Spanish had cleared him. You don't have clue as to what is going on!

Remember only Basso, Ullrich, a few older riders and Astana riders dope. The rest of the peloton is clean.

Thanks CH, but I guess I should not even start something until the absolute proof is available.
I do feel comfortable in my thinking but I get no pleasure in it.
I would actually rather be wrong in this case.

Yes, I had a lot to think about after yesterdays conversation with the Astana man (PM).... Its a pretty sad story.

I will tell you more tomorrow (still working on about 10.000 TDF pics)...

I may get some information week after next. Actually I know I will, and if it is interesting I will let you know.
Good luck on the photos.

Bruyneel said himself that he had tried to sign him for a couple of years. There were connections.

I noticed that too. Wonder how far down you have to go to find them. I've also heard that Cervelo, as a bike sponsor, doesn't kick in very much money (or at least they didn't in the earlier days because they couldn't afford too. Now they probably could.

I think that says something about Riis as a coach / team builder. All of his riders seem pretty supportive of him.

Anyone know who the highest paid CSC rider is and what the amount is?

The reason is quite simple, Operation Puerto was supposed to be the sweep that cleaned cycling. Target no.1 Ullrich, rider of one of the most famous teams throughout the world, former Tour de France champion and serious TdF contender. Target no.2 Basso, winner of Giro and most exciting tour rider to emerge, almost certain to challenge for TdF yellow jersey. Puerto goes well and cyclists are banned. OP is investigated deeper and football players from Barcelona or Real Madrid alongside tennis superstar Nadal were perhaps involved. Sepp Blatter, amongst others such as Spanish govt, wields his wand and OP disppears along with every sportsman not currently found guilty.

Why are we even asking this question as the answer is simple .... corruption!
