besides water.....

water in addition to a balanced diet will provide you with ample fuel for exercise, and ability for recovery.. and will save you from throwing money away on expensive sugar water.

I use Cytomax in my water bottles and EnduroxR4 post-ride, for rides 2 hours plus.

Im a big fan of creatine for recovery.. I have always used creatine monohydrate but have now switch to CEE beacuse of the better absortption into the muscles. BSN Cell Mass (http://www.illpumpyouup.com/bsn/cellmass.htm) is the one I have had the best luck with.

I use the same. I'm not convinced that EnduroxR4 does anything for me, but I have a big tub of it so I'm going to use it. At some point it will run out and I will see if it did anything when I don't have it any more. That will be my test.

I like Cytomax for during the ride, but I can't make it 100% strength. I use about twice the water. It still seems to do the job. I used to use a product called Sportalite but I have not seen it in a long time.

I read the reports on the benefits of chocolate milk and tried it. Was very impressed with the results I could feel in the hours after.

My recommendations are as follows:

one hour before event I eat a high carb bar, a cup of fruit yogurt, one dose of sublingual b complex, one amino acid supplement, cup of coffee and a lot of water.

during the event I drink a mixture of 1 part coke to 4 parts water.

after event, two big glasses of 2% milk and ovaltine, banana and eat as often as I get hungry and re-hydrate.
