I usually do not jump into your posts. However, the Iranian, Korean, and Israelian situations have nothing to do with Iraq.

Do you really the N Korean leadership woke up one day and felt threatened by the US?
They wanted nuclear and the excuse that the US is agressive is just a convenient way of jusifying themselves. This situation started long before Iraq.

The Iranians? Do you think they are capable of the science to put together a bomb since the beginning of the Iraq situation? That too has been going on and is now coming to a head.

You may be right about Israel though. Until Iraq and the Bush administration came along there has been a calm peace throughout that part of the world. Therer was never any tensions. It was just the right wing media tellling us that there were tensions.

Personally , I think alll the world's conflicts going back to ancient Rome could have been solved with Paul MaCartney hiring Muhammed Ali to bitch slap Heather and Madonna...... *******

Otherwise, what shall be done about cdpatten's racist remarks here? Or should that be allowed to stand, and then YBSB completely becomes the cesspool that it almost is now??

"Personally , I think alll the world's conflicts going back to ancient Rome could have been solved...."

Think about it logically. What caused the Roman Empire to fall? In my view, the cause of the collapse was linked to demographic change, mass immigration and a policy of multiculturalism.
Somewhere around 165 A.D., Roman society started to diversify as the old governed peoples of the Empire flooded into the capital slowly creating a melting-pot of diversity, diverse religion and ideology.
Add to that the onset of hedonism, materialism and moral decline, and the foundations were starting to wobble. By 300 A.D. Rome was just a melting pot of various ethnic groups who were socially at odds with each other and no real common bond.
Now, look at out society today and you see the same thing happening. We have the same mass immigration, social transformation, the onset of religious fundamentalism and a society that's gone too soft and wishy-washy to protect its value system.
Comparing the Britain of 1940 to the present day is a bit like comparing the Rome of 100 B.C. with the Rome of 400 A.D.
What amazes me is we never learn from history but just go on to repeat the same old mistakes and policies we already know failed in the past. That even holds true for Vietnam and Iraq.

This is my only gripe.
Wurm, as entertaining as your posts are on occasions, you spoil things by calling for other posters' views to be censored.
While most people probably back your right to state you believe Bush was behind 9/11 (which is a fairly radical view), you then seem to deny your opponents the same rights.
This kind of disqualifies you from being a "liberal". Here is where we part company if you believe in censorship - which is at odds with democratic values and a free society.
Posts should only be "moderated" in extreme cases not because you happen not to agree with something.

Wurm is not a liberal. Wurn is a angry anti-government individual who probably at one time in his life has some injustice done to him by the government. Or else his wife ran off with the local Republican canidate.

He is correct in one way though...... He should not be called a thief unless we have all the facts in. The forum is a public place to express opinions, not to post untrue things about individual posters. Names should not be used in this forum either.

I think there are cases where a post needs moderating, maybe where personal insults are being swapped or bad language and stuff like that.
However, if it's just a fairly extreme view I don't really have a problem with that so long as the language is polite. I mean, even if someone wrote he believed women should stay in the kitchen and cook, it may upset loads of people but it's an opinion at the end of the day.

David that entire list is cancelled out when you think of the pussified wussies that the Dems continue to parade in front of the American voter.

Al Gore? Jeez.

John Kerry.....get serious.

Despite the hatred that Bush has stirred up.....the Dems will lose AGAIN if they don't stop promoting some of these losers.

Well you're wrong again, Carrera. Racist tripe like that spewed from thebluetrain and cdpatten should not be tolerated here IMO. Insulting someone's heritage in the way that cdpatten did or engaging in race-baiting like thebluetrain did is unacceptable - at least to me. I would say that type of stuff is a far cry different from anyone that has given evidence or raised legitimate questions about BushCo's complicity in 9-11.

Once again, you're trying to connect two topics that are simply not congruent.

If you remember correctly, I was not the only one to point out bluetrain's redneck musings for the garbage that they were.

You are also apparently not aware, but there are millions of Americans and others around the world who believe the US gov't had much to do with 9-11. That does not qualify in my book as "fairly radical".

There are not millions of Americans who think the government had something to do with 9-11. I have not talked with anyone who thinks that. That concept is reserved for those who are heavily medicated.
The odds of pulling something like that off is immense. The logistics of it would require the silence of hundreds of people. In Washington , there is no such thing as a secret.
The internet has gave the "crazy idea people" a forum , and allows them to feel their views are mainstream.

Millions?

Bullshit.

You need more medication.

In my opinion.

That is a rather high estimate although I, myself, would not put it beneath this admin. to look the other way so that they could realize their project for a new american century PNAC Militarily imperialistic tendencies (getting poor folk to die on the battlefield so you can fill your oil-buisiness buddies coffer's w/ new oil contracts & no-bid reconstruction contracts under the guise of making the world a better place First he was against "nation-building" & now he has spent $380,000,000,000, 'off-budget" (read-"not paid for") FOR nation-building. Which is it
Here is a list of the signatories to the PNAC:
Quote:
Elliott Abrams Gary Bauer William J. Bennett Jeb Bush

Dick Cheney
Eliot A. Cohen Midge Decter Paula Dobriansky Steve Forbes

Aaron Friedberg Francis Fukuyama Frank Gaffney Fred C. Ikle

Donald Kagan Zalmay Khalilzad I. Lewis Libby Norman Podhoretz

Dan Quayle Peter W. Rodman Stephen P. Rosen Henry S. Rowen

Donald Rumsfeld Vin Weber George Weigel Paul Wolfowitz

Regardless of its aims, these signatories should raise eyebrows.
