Masters 2 is 35 onwards. M1 is only new as of two years ago(?). I qualify for M1, so I chose it. I could have stayed with elite and spat out the ass from every race I entered... not really enjoyable. Though I have had my ass handed to me on a plate by M2/3's on every major climb (William, Tawonga, Hotham, BawBaw). :|

Either way, the classification is only for Open. Even then, a tour/stage win in any open event doens't mean jack. Bragging rights only. Most combines, crits and commuter Olympics are a free for all!
