Did the soccer with my daughter through the parks and even the refs there were in there own mind kings. Had a parent at one game standing by but not on the out of bounds line and the side judge told him to move back. He moved a small step and the judge stuck his flag in his face and told him to leave and the parent told him to get the flag out of his face. This guy stopped the game, told thew main ref the parent was trying to harm him and they gave the other team a free kick and wouldnt start the game until the parent left and i mean left. He first was out of the park on the outside of the fence trying to watch and they still wouldnt start the game, they waiting until they saw him drive away. Found out latter the side judge had a kid that was the worst player on the other team. I was told not to yell because i was to loud and i srill yelled, not bad stuff but the basic team stuff and the told me to stop or they would kick my daughter out of the game. Glad that crap is over.

Gotta love football/soccer - only non contact game where shirt pulling, ankle tapping (complete with subsequent ankle clutching and 15 metre roll), pushing, bumping and ball shielding are allowed. Well, sort of, if you don't do it too harshly it's allowed - but not too harshly cos it's illegal - which is exactly the problem. Non contact has become a grey area...
Plus the refs are about as potent as 80 year men who've lost their viagra. For the sprinters: Just as well cycling is a non contact sport ![]() |
