Persons who are descendents of those who managed to survive despite the bubonic plague, now enjoy a type of immunity sorts, from the HIV virus.

Ain't natural selection grand?

My regrets to the Swan family.

Few people alive today are not descendents of those who survived.

Now that Scotland is feeling a little braver, can anyone tell me of a good (or bad) Bird-Flu-Free drinking house in Aberdeen, Kiltland? I'm going to be there for 1 night next month and don't imagine that I shall want to spend the whole time sober. Swan Sausage is off the menu, but Tetley's should fill the gap.

Just in the vicinity of where the plague went; I seems to have lost steam before it got to Africa.

The current projected worst case scenario for a H5N1 pandemic is somewhere around 150 million human deaths directly due to H5N1 infection (or two to three percent of the world's human population). The likelihood of this scenario is unknown.

there are only 3 reasons why anyone would go to Aberdeen...

no, hold on, there is only one reason why anyone would go to Aberdeen...you're in the gas/oil industry...right?

did you know that Aberdeen is technically one of the richest cities in the world? Pity the money is syphoned off by the UK/American markets..

when you do visit on of its many ale houses, just locate 'wee boaby' you'll see him sitting in the corner with his dram and half pint 'o heavy. He'll tell you how Aberdeen is the greatest city in the world and why everyone else, including Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow etc are all idioits..

Bird Flu..."the sky is falling",no wait a chicken said that and we know you can't trust them birds.
Just eat some snake or weasel it tastes just like chicken.
It is just another big brother conspiracy to reduce the surplus population anyway.

We have some people like that in our former industrial power-house regions. Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburg, ect...
