pouring gas on the fire, the us continues to play both sides, arming so called friends and rivals alike.
when it comes to weapons of mass destruction being found, looks like a jackpot. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/GE27Aa03.html anyone find this as less than prudent? any of you find a way to approve? |

Its called 'sport'..
the US arms them up with guns, explosives and planes/tanks and then, when they get too big for thier boots they decide to invade them. whats the point in delaring war on a country that has no army or military capability?. where is the sport in that? its available for the XBOX, PS2 and the PC. The same sport as leveling a 50 caliber cannon on a deer, which is no more than a small un-domesticated cow, and blowing him half into for a throphy. It makes you feel like real man. Now huntin Grizzly with a pocket knife is true sport. Hypocrit that I am, since I do eat meat.

We have a lot of that in South Africa - foreigners (mostly british, french and american) come to the country to waste an old lion who can hardly walk with a high power scoped rifle and then brag about how manly they are and how dangerous the sport is. Pffff - it's more dangerous opening a can of tuna. |

selling arms to poor countries who cant afford to feed thier population is bad enough but when you are sanctioning other countries that need food, clothing and medical supplies...its pretty despicable. they are only selling arms so that the country so that they can deal with a sitiation that the US should be dealing with. Its a form of prostitution through warfare.

The USA is guilty as charged.
but so are other countries. What about peace loving Sweden ? they've a huge weapon sales industry. France, the same. The arms industry is exploitation to the nth degree. Despots are allowed to rule and then the despot's enemy (a despot in the making, invariably) is supplied by the same arms dealer. Exploitation.

I agree selling arms to poor countries is wrong (dispicable is a better word) but I disagree with the "US should get involved" comment. Half the trouble in the world was caused by the US getting involved. If anything the US should be providing aid - but that aint as profitable as selling guns.... |

War is great business and weapons sales are probably the second oldest business in the world right behind sex.
Maybe if we all just had more sex we would have less time for war.

Chosing which way to go a bullet or sex.......let me think...... I guess I will have someone just hold a gun on me and make me have sex until I expire. PS: It doesn't need to be loaded.

no, i am not saying the US should get involved, i am saying they want to get involved but dont want to commit troop and money to the project, why not get some lackie to do it for you?....save your own 'ass' and make money at the same time, something most americans aspire to. look at the iran/iraq war.
