ahh the AC is going top be prettymuch phased out, i wouldnt bother looking at them.. if you want full suspension look at the Reign, its going to be alot better if you wanna do a bit of everything hardtail is a bit harder, if you want something very solid the STP but its not really going to be very good for XC/trail riding and its not exactly a downhill bike anyway show me a hardtail downhill bike....

and i'll show you a guy who wishes he bought a DS. yeah cem. you would probably be better off with a full suspension. probably should get a free ride bike. go for something with an adjustable front shock 120mm-180mm (somewhere in there). get at least 5" in the back. they do make ones that lock in the back. how much do you want to spend? |

.......not really that much..because im just only a student so i cant spend too much on a bike....but im too addicted to bikes like you all so i can spend up to 20,000 php (1 dollarUS=55php)...maybe sumthing like that...im still considering coiler (Kona) or the cherry bomb (dabomb)...or maybe as expensive as the demo 8 (specialized)...i cant say how much i can spend on a bike...it depends on what is available at the time that i will going to buy a bike....so...im now stuck at freeride...any suggestions?? a nice decent and cheap FR bike but still can win the race....even in sport class????

i nvr said it wasnt possible. i just said it would hurt. check out the iron horse 7point5 or 7point7. i actually work for a bike shop that sells the 7point5. i looked at the demo 8. and if you got the 7point5 you'd be sacrificing 20mm of travel in the front(but same type of shock.) and a whopping inch in the back. the components are about the same. in some cases, exactly the same (ie. brakes). the frames for the most part get made in the same factory unless you buy a REALLY high end bike. but the 7point5 is only 2499. as opposed to around 3500 for the demo 8. |

personally, i would nvr buy a USED downhill bike. unless i new the person who was selling it and i know for a fact that it wasnt used much. i know people who can do a lifetime of damage to a bike in 2 months. bottom line, if it wasnt used much, it would be ok i guess. if i were you though, i'd definately go with a new bike. |
