1) Armstrong a lot of time 2) Basso 3) Valverde (who will benefit from a strong TTT squad and TMO infighting) |

No one thought it would be a blowout last year.
No one thought it would be so close the year before. Predicting the Tour is like predicting the weather - you're accurate for three to four days, at best. However, only one person has won it for the last six years, and he isn't planning on coming in second this year, either. Either Lance wins it, or he ends up riding in support of Popo, and Basso wins. Ullrich doesn't have the drive to win, and Vino won't get the team support he needs when Ullrich breaks - they'll all be too busy looking out for themselves. Vino will still finish third or fourth, despite this. Floyd will finish off the podium but in the top 5 or 6. Popo will be in the top 10 too, because Lance may be behind him, pushing. Levi will be a few places back. Julich will definitely be in the top 20, maybe the top 10. Whatever happens, there will be an inordinately high number of Americans in the top 10, so don't think you can get off easy after Lance retires. We're here to stay. |

Huh? For the record, I'd love to see someone other than Armstrong win this year. I just don't think it will happen. We shall see. |
