Each poster's words (and, in your case, inappropriate language) speak to who the poster is, more than who the people the poster is trying to target are.
![]() You know your proposition that started this thread got completely destroyed by my quotes, and you are trying (obviously unsuccessfully) to attack me in sulking about how badly you have been out-gunned in arguments in this thread. ![]() It should be noted that, not only is sexual orientation not an appropriate way to attack a person (since everybody is entitled to one's sexual orientation, which is entirely legitimate), but also you are soooo wrong. Everybody uses smiley faces. But also, I am a woman and you were assuming (wrongly, obviously) I was a man. Hah! Second argument of yours badly defeated in this thread. ![]() |

Go Away woman, know your role. A real woman wouldnt pretend to be a man instead of shopping and doing what real women do. How can you speak about which you no nothing about. I figured you were some lowly cat racer or fan. You need to realize that everything you read about the sport is Anglocentric, thats why youre clueless. Youre the one who should "know better". That was such a strange statement that you made saying "you(I) should know better than to question my(your) quote". Sorry that you have penis envy or whatever. |

Damn. Did Banesto2007 spill his milk this AM or did somebody pee in his corn flakes?
You can bitch and wine all you want, but unless you're a member of CSC, I don't really see what your complaining about. Unless that is, your just want Americans to quit racing in Europe. That's a fair opinion, but don't hide your predjuices in a post about 1 guy... Three words. Get over it. L

Unfortunately that is unlikely to happen as our World-beating xenophobic friend has declared "Id never ever ride on a team with Zabriskie". I'm sure that Mr Riis, CSC and the greater cycling community were devastated by this news, but we must respect a person of principles, especially when the principles are as lofty as those espoused by our knowledgeable companion. |

This is a great day for science. We have uncovered a direct link to the Caveman. Tell us Banesto2007, in words of your own making, do you walk upright, or is there a little knuckle-dragging involved? For the interest of the Board, I am neither Female nor American. I'm only here to marvel at the inconsistency of evolution. |

LOL........WTF is youre problem. (youre forum is RBR thrust me you can swear as much as you like there!).
1) And as Dutch guy I need to respond. Thrust me WE have more history in TDF and classics then the spanish! 2) And about important races.........dauphine L is a bit overrated......the tour of Suisse has much more importance. All the big guns (except armstrong, kloden, vino etc) have opted for tour the suisse. Because it's longer and harder! 3) Were is youre head dude......the sport is in France..........LOL! The only cycling important race in french is in JULY! (oke and criterium international and some more small races).........however the beginning of the classics all the prep races are in belgium and holland. So to say Holland and belgium have no races of importance (btw as I said we have way more history then the spanish) is BS! 4) I do agree (no offense here) that americans will always be considered people from the outside. Armstrong has done good to bring americans to the tour. I'm afraid after this year there won't be so many americans anymore or other people from over the world. 5) Tour daaaaay georgia is a good race. And CSC is an american sponsor. Think here with me for a moment: could it possibly have to do something with that! (love those gay smilies )I see youre banned.........wow little harsh huh! There are more forums good luck with the others....... With love, MJ Quote:

Banned!!! How am I going to continue with my research into prehistoric beings living in a modern world if Banesto2007 isn't available for me to collect data on? I call on Noam Chomsky to have B'07 released in order that the thinking processes of an ancient troglodyte may be further examined. |

I've been thinking about another reason Zabriske may have been let go by USPS:
-- Crashprone. I know it's not a cyclist's fault that he crashes (especially when there are uncontrollable accidents), but Zabriske has a history of being relatively crash-prone (e.g., as Bruyneel said when Zabriske won the Vuelta time trial, the "big accident and then the crash at Redlands"). For a team that is trying to win GC at Grand Tours and whose riders are mostly domestiques in support of their GC contenders (which Zabriske clearly is not), you need to know you can count on the domestique not to crash and to continue in the race until the end to support the GC contender. Zabriske, while he had his good days, also showed himself to be crash-proe and that is a negative from Bruyneel's perspective. You might argue that other riders Bruyneel has used are also crash-prone. For example, Tyler Hamilton -- but he was a much more important domestique to LA and was a much stronger climber. Savoldelli also has a record of very bad crashes (and a number of them). However, Savoldelli is GC contender material and GC winner (past and post-DC). Savoldelli also has special skills (e.g., descending and a balance of good ITTing and reasonably good climbing; also, having won his prior Giro without very limited team support) that made him attractive to Bruyneel. |

Well 6 tours speaks for itself.......the best tour rider in history......but not the best rider ever known in the peloton, BY FAR!!! Put merx, hinault, coppi, indurain, zoetemelk etc........and then comes armstrong.
But then again different era can't compare...... Quote:

If you want to limit your thinking to tour wins you are right. But it doesn't speak for itself to me when I look at Merckx and a few others, despite their fewer wins. And it certainly doesn't when you look at how much LA spends to get the riders in his team to cooperate and now, it seems, riders in other teams. |
