I wasn't suggesting that there was any controversy, Vino deserved the win. I was more questioning if Jens would've had enough left in him to win the sprint if Vino would've shared the pulls equally. I think the answer is it probably wouldn't have mattered as Vino is a better sprinter. I like the no nonsense approach the Jens takes every time he goes out, I wish he would've countered Vino's attack on the last climb.

Maybe in the US... but here in Europe we do get rather excited about the classics!

I always get a bit depressed after LBL waiting for the Giro to start...

miss the classics, San Remo to LBL. Great time of the year!

Only two weeks to go to the Giro, PP.

I love the classics as well.
I was disappointed to see Ghent-Wevelgem not get protour recognition.

It did look like Vino did a lot of wheel sucking, but Voigt didn't seem to mind. I thought Vino would try harder to get away on one of the final climbs, but Voigt was just so strong.

Really could have turned out different, it seems, if the chasing group could managed to get their act together.

This is my first full season watching cycling and I have to be honest that the spring classics have been great, some of the best races that I have witnessed. Having only seen the 2003/2004 tour and the olympics I really feel I have missed out until now.

I think the two worked together well, even if Voigt did more pulling.

But as Vino said, Jens is like a jumbo jet. Sitting behind him is a HUGE draft.

Even if Vino pulled in front, he is much shorter, and, have you seen how aero Vino is in the drops. He looks like a freekin track rider. Voigt would have to cut himself in half to get below the upper air draft behind Vino. I mean Vino is down low!

At least it wasn't one of the Amstel 99 things where Lance makes the break, does ALL the work, pulls Boogerd the whole way, and that sh#tweasel Boogerd sneaks around him on the line to win by a cm. THAT is why Boogers has gotten sooo many second places in Amstel and other classics.
BAD KARMA man.

Hey Pete, are you going to see any of the Giro? Got a camera? Don't forget your friends on cyclingforums.com

I loved the podium picture: Jens is like 6-7 inches taller than the others!

Lol, only comparitavely. I remember well the years that Lemond was at the top of the cycling heap, it's just that I was still wearing keds sneakers and corduroy pants charging around on my old 35 pound Schwinn Stingray - converted to BMX of course
Loved that bike....and in those days I didn't even have hair on my legs to shave, so patching up my perpetual road rash was no problem.

Boogerd was ordered by Jan Raas to don't do any work!
