Vo2 despite the fact it's an old album for me their finest hour has to be "The Trinity Sessions" - one band ,one church, one microphone ,one awesome album. 8)
If you have the Live album "200 more miles" one of the tracks was recorded at the Royal Albert Hall and it is the only time a song from a concert I attended actually made it on to a live album. Was I happy when I saw that on the cover ;D |

Hmmmmm, let me see...Most of the time, the stars do their things and you are busy doing your stuff, but occasionaly they will come out of their stardom bubble to say HI,the time I worked on the Rolling Stones show(Steel Wheel tour,Montreal & Toronto/Canada) it took us a whole week to set the stage up.In the middle of lunch one day,I turn around to a blok that was asking me how da food was(taking a second look at who I was talking to,I realised THAT IT WAS Keith Richard who was asking ME this, asking ME how the food was ...See I basicaly work for the complex so these guys have their job to do and I,the same, then the next day...gone!(on to the next city for them and on to the next show for moi.) Yes,I must admit it's a GREAT JOB,a demanding job but a GREAT JOB,I love it!!! Let see,yes I have worked on both those band's show (RushI love Rush alo!!! Cowboy Junkies, not really a fan,but the show was good! So there for the non-bike related portion of me... It's just a job,BUT DA PURKS!!! 8)

:P Hi, I am from South Arica, stay in Centurion Gauteng. Started cycling about 4 years ago on invitation from my brother, after he did his first Argus. We started off with mountain bikes and only got us proper roadbikes/raer last year (2001) July. Since I started cycling I enjoyed it so much I am trying to get my whole family to be active cyclists.

Hi all. I'm from Alberton, Johannesburg South Africa. I started cycling in 1990 but after leaving the army in 1994 I stopped :'(. I restarted in 2001 ;D and even convinsed my wife to ride short races. I do early morning training rides from Tuesdays to Saturdays and races/long rides on Sundays.
When I'm not cycling I am a senior programmer with a huge media company in South Africa.

Jebo Goggo.. I'm from Cape Town and cycling now for 5 years with a 2 year brake in between (worked in JHB for that 2 years, flying up and down during the week). Start Beginning of last year again. did my first Argus in 3.16 (old route). Working a 8 to 5 job and cycling to work and back. Got showers in the building available, and that makes it so easy to save on petrol cost. I've got ONE target when I do a funride. Always try to do a 35km/h average. Never try and beat your buddy, you cant control his race. Hoping to do a 3 hour Argus.
Training is going well, no flu or mishapps, so keep the fingers cross and hope for perfect weather |

Hi all, I'm a South African on work contract in Cheshire, UK.
Been riding for 10 years - I started off riding to school many years ago and kinda progressed from there. 29 now and still loving it. Bring on the vets category I'm getting killed by the elite men! The UK is a bit dodgy weatherwise but it's made me realise the importance of good gear (and how lucky us South Africans are that we can like all year round). |

I'll difinitely check it out Lazarus. Sounds good. I'm starting to gear up for the Roger Waters 'In the Flesh' Tour. 1st of March! Can't wait! I'm a Pink Floyd/Waters fan through and through. Sitting in my bunker, Comfortably Numb, the show must go on...

Hi everybody. I'm an Austrian living in Germany (for more than 20 years now) and I work in ad sales for electronics/IT magazines. I got into cycling about 6 years ago when a friend forced me onto an MTB and I discovered how much fun this can be. Last year I got myself a road bike and since then the MTB tends to collect dust in the garage.

I'm living in Cape Town (Rondebosch) where I am completing my post graduate studies in Chemistry
. I started cycling in 1998 when I did the short option in the Tour D'Urban. I then signed up for the Argus the next year (1999) where the bug bit and bit hard. My first Argus was 4:!6 on the old course and things have been getting better since then. The addition of a road bike to my list of toys has totally converted from the mountain biking option. My favourite training options are Constancia Nek, Ou Kaapse Weg and a hill near my place which leads up to Rhodes Memorial (it is wonderful for hill intervals). |

PLS...are you at UCT?
I'm at Stellenbosch, just started M.Sc. in chemistry. Wonder if you have some advice for me....after a few hours in the lab (7-8 to be exact!) it's rather hard to go out for a training ride..what with all the acetone and solvents... You have the same problem? The obvious answer is to go for a ride in the mornings...but I'm not quite a morning person ![]() |
