I'm 676 retired, and living in (far) northern coastal CA. We are working on selling our CA home and moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado. I ride a custom built Surly LHT, an upraded Schwinn Mesa MTB and an old Schwinn Traveller that I recently rebuilt. We already have a small second home in CO where I keep and ride a custom built Surly Cosscheck.

My first post-
My name is Alan, I live in northern Vermont, about 30 miles from the US-Quebec border, in the northeast corner of the US known as New England. I have been road cycling for about 10 years, am over 60 years of age, married with a couple of grown boys. So far I have enjoyed day trips 30-80 miles, with plans for a couple of overnights this summer, and longer trips next year. Alan ![]() |

Way to go Alan! I'll retire in a year and than I'll be able to do the that kind of 'daily' rides. Right now work gets in the way! ![]()

I already have a post here somewhere. But I've changed careers, so I figured it's time I made a new post. I still live near Chicago, IL, but I'm now an airline pilot. I fly a CRJ (google it if you want to see a picture). It's great, but doesn't leave much time for cycling.

Wow, that is a big plane! Sounds like a fun job. Very cool.
Does that mean you get free flights when ever you decide to take a vacation? ![]() |

New to this forum. I have been a mountain biker for 15 years but got the road bug in October and bought a cycle-cross to start (Kona Major Jake). So that get my interest so in May a picked up a S-Works Roubaix with Campy Record and the Roval carbons. I love that new bike and have logged about 1,200 in 3 months (still got another 200-300 on my mountain bike too).
I work in the software industry and like to snow ski, collect sports memorabilia and take care of my two golden retrievers and my tropical fish.I live in Half Moon Bay, CA which is a great place to ride bikes. I just need to find people to ride with, tired of riding alone with my Zune MP3 player as company. |

Hi. I live in Southeast Arizona where I am able to cycle year 'round. I have several bikes. I own a Pinarello Cyclocross frame from the 1980's that I rebuilt this year. I have a Trek 930 from 1985 that I found new in a box this year and have been messing with it. I have a Jamis Coda Comp that I'm converting into a touring bike and a Jamis Aurora road bike. All of my frames are steel (not that I'm a steel snob) I just like how it rides.
I am an RN and work as the Pre-hospital Coordinator for EMS in a two-county region. |

Welcom Brian, I lived in Colorado for 33 years. I commuted by bicycle all of those years too. I now live in southern Nevada. I continue to commute by bicycle. I miss Colorado but, when you're snowed in, I'm still cycling. You can ride here pretty much 24/7/365. It's a rare day you can't ride here. If you get tired of the snow and need to ride. Come to Las Vegas.
