I play Flanker (to nail the scrum half, as of my tackling ability)

We play union

You mean you've got a stay of execution until the 25th !
I don't know !!

Right so - on the 26th you'd better be either on that turbo or outside peadlling away.
If the family don't like - to hell with them - get them out too !

Sorry to hear about the heart issue.
Fit bloke like you - it just shows that it can hit anyone and given that you're a fit bloke, it makes it all the more worrying.
No wonder people were surprised when it happened.
Keep well.

I thought that we discussed this issue on ESmb sometime ago, I particularly remember it because some of your long term cycling friends were struck down, either permanently or partially by out of proportion disasters vis a vis the general population considering that they had devoted their lives to be as physically fit as humanly possible. Well recently you posted up that Gerry Knetteman dropped dead at 53, just going out hacking with some mates. Well thanks for your consideration, which I take as a compliment to my past endeavours.

Slipped my mind - you are right.
I was telling you about Kieran Hammond - dropped dead while cycling with the Orwell Wheelers last year on a training run.
Fit bloke, neither drank nor smoked : early 40's.
Died on an anurism - was dead before he hit the ground, God Bless him.

Gerrie Knetteman too.

Ah, it's terrible.

Since then I have taken it a bit easier, just to make sure I do not damage it any more. ( On average the other team were 1.5ft taller than us. I am the smallest on the pitch.

I cannot get to the club rides this weekend as my mum and dad are out! Though I will be going on a few rides by myself to make up for it. Just got to make sure my legs are OK again, as not to damage them.

Cheers Phil

PS What did you mean by progress report? If theres anything else you want to know, just ask!

what planet are YOU on ???? bon courage.. ps i think this kid is a fake, he's russell wiliams..

I'll tell you what young Phil, just feck off on your real bike on Xmas day, and let them get on with cooking. If they tell you that you are an ungrateful little shit, just tell 'em that you don't want to breathe in nauseous fumes from burn't flesh.
Top Tip here, the roads are empty. No Police, thru lights on red, two fingers to the cameras,.
