I was trawling thru something the other month, and came across the race reports from Littleboro RC, a Club quite local to me at the time. Some riders had entered a Boxing Day TT, they were from memory Gordon Harling, Ron Mellor, still winning, and a young rider who BRF should know by the name of Ken Nuttall (a junior). Anyway after a dismal showing in this TT, the club scribe set out his article for the Local paper, he put down the times, and then the lame excuses, and even wrote the title for once. 'LRC Riders All Drunk', was duly published on the back page.

No BRF im going to be recording my mileage on the 1/1/05. I will start before that as I will have more time as I am off school. The first will be when i start my really hard training, before then I will just build up to it, as on the 1st, I plan to train 6/7 days a week, thursday being my break day.
Why, didn't you think I was already training, I will be going on the fast sunday ride with my club this week if my dad can get me up there, ( I would ride up there, but its fifteen miles of dangerous motorways) And even if i don't get up there on Sunday, I will still be out riding. I plan to get out every Sunday, as much as possible with the club, if not, by myself. Phil

just sent you an email... looking forward to more insults from you... Thanks - it's actually good motivation. One day when I get to Europe, you can see what it'll produce in me.

Looks like an in joke between the two testicles with writing on them. Come on Zap, no shit now, do you ride and lift. What are you doing about training, I know you're a joker. Serious now, do you want to turn Virginia into a laughing stock? Roadmen only. Are you in a club, or just a turdo shoveller? have a lie down before you answer.

Yes, I've just read it. It's like a tramps pocket. Nothing in it. Stop supping the beer, you get carried away. Do you what we say? When th'ales in, wits are out. I'm telling you stuff from the greatest weights Guru America has ever known, English of course, and a friend also. What do you do? Fuckin' ignore it. I learn't off the best in the world. I think he did four champions of 'The World's Strongest Man'. Off course he was about many more things, treatment of muscular injuries, diet, nutrition, etc. Many strings to his bow. Now get off your arse. Of course this doesn't apply to young Phil because he's 14 in Jan. Do you know who I've looked after after I finished racing? Well none of them were wankers. Get on with it, and there is no magic carpet. BRF keeps telling you that. Oh Jesus, you're coming to Europe in a B52. Plenty of room for your donut arse then. What's your height and weight? No diuretics please, and that goes for Zap also.

Absolutely no chance of winning anything apart from the worlds fattest and laziest man. 15 stone of blubbering do nowt. Squats should be about 600lbs at least. Self discipline is obviously not on the agenda. What the fuckin hell did need a carbon frame for. You should have bought an Abrams. Now come on Zap, put him to shame.

That's right - no mercy whatsoever. It's either the bike or weight-training. Can't mix both - if you're intent on being a roleur. I have to go with BRF on this one - I can't see how weight training would help in cycling terms. But don't mind me - I'm just an old bollox. |

I think I'll stick with BBC public service. Don't fancy having to view a set of your testicles - thank you very much. |

there is definitely need for roleurs... I will never be a climber, it is not in my genetics... The only way I could ever drop that kind of weight is the Armstrong route - illness. At my absolute best form, I am 180-185 lbs, so I do indeed have my work cut out for me. Too much "laying around" on my arse, according to Fred... But, I know what is needed.

Weight is a problem for most cyclists - they're never satisfied with their weight. I am 6ft 1inches and I weigh 15 stone (210 lbs). This is too heavy - might be in relative proportion for my height, but in cycling terms, it is too heavy. When I was competing - I was at 12.5 stone (175 lbs). |
