Red - I haven't heard from you in quite some time.
How's it going ?
Did you purchase that Bike ?

You'll find that there are no restrictions here to the length of ones message.
The other site was a disaster - truncated messages, no identities etc.

Things are going well - I purchased the Casati and haven't ridden as much as I like - between the weather here and life in general, it's a bit of a chore, to be honest. I have a winter training plan that I am going to start next week. Maybe I will keep everyone up on that little venture.

As for the ES board, I grew weary of not seeing messages posted for days and just the bunk that ran rampant in general. A forum like this is good in the sense that we are absolutely sure that we are who we are (if we check the spelling!).

It's good to see the crew here. I think David Byrne once said it (loosely)- This is the place...

I've e-mailed all the culprits that I've got mail addresses for, so who knows we may get some of the good guys back............I hope so, for the sake of my sanity.

Hey Lim, think on, we don't want to be overenthusistic in the invitation stakes, Redneck earned his stripes as the only Merrycan who earn't status in the bucket of shite stakes. We kept his head in it for ages. On the other hand, let's see what bait the other Merkins turn up with. Cycling comments only.

looks like we have done a runner, i see old fix it has bumbed his way into our little lot, watch him he is a world crusader, he has messages on ALL the threads, i dont like that word. still maybe he has now come accross a site that includes REAL BIKERS, of the old school, he may grow up a bit...

i emailed old pascal, got back a nice polite reply, said that it was those UPTAIRS who pulled the plug,, still he did say that it WOULD be back all cleaner and fitter..

hey thats another bummer, old redneck is still talking about actually riding a bike, hell man how can you talk about trianing plans when you do not even ride the damm thing. WHY NOT PUT THE AUTOMOBILE in the garage for a week and RIDE the damm bike instead.

had a eamil from another knowall last week, you know been in the sport 10 minutes and now is the worlds know all on the sport, nice bloke though, told him my wife does 160 kms av per week, shit he tells me that is more than he and his wifes total added together,,160 kms per week, man i have that in by wednesday, and still have 4 days left.. yes 300kms minumun, objective 60 kms more, nowt really, cannot wait until january, its just a quick kump to over 400 kms min per week,, oh i can go on.....HOW KMS THIS WEEK MR FIXIT.

bon courage

bikeriderfrance

Well we do seem to be congregating round the flame........

Long may it continue.......

We need to start on themes..................

Fred C & BRF you were going to give us on the ES board over the winter your fount of knowledge and wisdom on all subjects of cycling in the 50's & 60's ....... just to show them that side of the pond that the cycling game is taken seriously over here.

Why don't you start it.............

IMHO if we don't get some of our cycling history down on paper its going to be lost for ever. I don't mind being the co-ordinator and archivist, you know I'm a squirrel for facts an figures, but we need to get it down somewhere. So what do you all think, lets get the balls rolling?

Glad to be back together.

You must mistake me with somebody else.

Only about 160, don't know exactly, have no computer. It pretty cold here, only +2°C. And in the morning there is ice in some places...

If Tyler Hamilton is such a nice chap, who cuts his neighbours lawns, and cleans their windows I think he should have no problem in returning his ill gotten medal and title to the righteous winner.

I see that David Millar is leaving beautiful Biarritz to come back to Murky Manchester to study communications ( with the police?) , and it is purported from another source that he shall be advising young riders the pitfalls of eating sausage rolls laced with EPO, working with the bcf, or whatever they call it now. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. Looks like the sausauge roll factory again..
