Read them by all means, then ignore them. Have you got the thing right now? or do you have to wait for Father Christmas? Just warm up on it then start going faster. Do 2 hours non stop, and about 40 odd miles Tues and Thurs, and do it outside in fresh air. I'll just have a look at the mumbo jumbo site.

Right Phil, I've read the site, and all the guff. Look at it this way, you are entitled to your opinions and ideas, nothing wrong with that. So us three wise men call you into the office, give you tea and biccies, and listen to you for a quarter of an hour. Then we decide that you were wrong and we were right, so you go away and do as you were told in the first place. Gottit!

Yeh, OK, can't do much about that, can you? Anyway, school hols, plenty of time to bang in the miles. Why don't you start your mileage chart from the first day of the hols. Get in front of Lazyarse Redneck. That way you can get into BRF's good books.

I am with you on that... save the Political/Nationalist Bullshit for another forum... that's for all Americans and Euros alike... There are plenty of those threads on this site.

We used to spend hours in the cafe/rest room looking through Martindales Pharmacoepia for 'things'. The only thing we could beat him at were calf raises. A delightful man who helped everybody on the weights. He used to take special care of an old chap who had had a stroke, when he came in the gym, he left the others to make sure the old man got round safely. At that time he was the world champion powerlifter on the squat. How much? just over 1000lbs full squat.
What are you squatting these days? I only got to 425lbs.

Now, Lim & BRF need to stay off me - I am a big American - I could squash you... and I meant 1/1/05 But I am working now...

As for the squatting - I don't do any max - I work out with 300 lbs x 8 reps. on my last set... I will try and see what my max is.

Auburn University is in Alabama, and they are all about Football down there in the deep South - Football in the South is a religion, and in the Deep South, it's even more so, on the verge of religious fanaticism.

There is a big stink here now with that BALCO thing - Grand Jury testimony is coming out about who admitted what, and some big names are being bantied about. Kind of sad, actually, but nothing that really surprises me, either.

I can help? you better that way, after all you should be on top power by now. And make sure it's your card.

What, you don't trust me? What's up with that? I actually haven't been keeping a "card." I have been working on memory, as far as weights and reps... but I should employ better record keeping. I have a plan, where I work the upper body, then lower and alternate - going 3 times a week. So, some weeks will have 2 upper & 1 lower day, and the next week will have a 1 upper & 2 lower. As far as the squat lbs (as in the earlier post) I am working with 300 lbs. x 8 on the last set, but will check what the max is. I don't think that I will be getting 425 just yet, but can see it in my future.

I will actually send you a running total of stuff (work outs) and you can give me some insight - I will put it in an excel sheet.

Default Fred - Tony Fitton.

I did a search on Tony Fitton, and on Richard Tony Fitton, and found the article in Sports Illustrated where they interviewed him in prison - that's been 20 years ago! That was the only thing I found on him, though.

Or should I try creating one on excel, but what fields would I have to include, and would i include details like average speed, max/min heart rate, average cadence, ETC?

Cheers phil

Well, we don't want to get too big ! What the bloody hell do you want? Here I am, learn't from the best tutor in the world. Start again shall we. 10 reps on everthing..... I'll just answer this, then I'm going to look for my original instructions to you.
Bang your squats up to 10, and do full squats, not the girly toilet ones. To see your max it's only one, but don't try going to 350lbs in one go. Do you have weighlifters room, because you need men on either side if you lose balance. I know the method.
That's why Tony was in for the footballers. The games changed now, up the mid 80's it was steroid fuelled, these days the games faster, and bulk is not as important as it once was. He must have top man in prison with all the gym gorillas telling them how to do it properly. Of course you are right about Balco, and I am going to check it out, I know that Tony has been back in the UK for years now, he came back because his Mum wasn't well. What I learn't off him was invaluable, and it has stuck. He never pushed drugs on any lifter. For example 'Shirt' could squat with 700 on a good day. He competed. Laughingly Tony said ' you could win the Nationals on lifts like that, come into the office'. He knew Shirt wouldn't touch the stuff. just a laugh.

Redneck, yes that's the right man. There are other articles about him. I can tell you that he got turned over because your National coaches wanted the profits off the Steroid trade, so they blew him up. Tony was against the type of X steroids that they prescribed as being dangerous, which in fact medical evidence has subsequently proved that they were so. Tony always worked on the mols/lb method. Your lot pumped them in like filling up the tank. What the bloody hell do you think we were doing with Martindales Pharmacoepia? Yes looking for detriments of dosage. Side effects etc.

Yes, get a piece of graph paper and dot you weekly road mileage on it. Never mind you heart rate and all that shit it just takes up time. Of course, you could dot on your turbo mileage, as for spreadsheets? Bollacks, you're still growing. All this bullshit is for American consumption to sell Turbo-trainers in the get rich quick market. We don't want you to turn into an American Kitchen Pansy. Right bang out the miles, that's the magic formula. This is not a physio-cardiology unit, that's only for the neurotic Americans.
