And I thought Osama had a bad attitude. Well, let Bush go on the rampage again...I just hope the people he tramples on don't retaliate and kill someone in your family

Never having lived in Australia or New Zealand, I am not a "pom" (but don't worry, those places aren't in the US so you couldn't be expected to know anything about them).

As for countries begging for help...in the last 4 years Bush spent a buttload of money you guys don't have (you know, massacring Iraqis is expensive). Guess who's going to have to pay all that money back? Not me

That's what all that oil is for, you silly! Actually, the oil money will go to the corporations; the American people will still pay for the war. Oh well, Americans deserve the president they elect.

This thread is constructed in order to gloat, no other reason.

Gloating at the expense of half of the American population as well as the rest of the civilised world. There is no content or information or conversation here.

Continue to post away.

I think it's just trolling. There were/are some conservatives here that can be talked to and an at least a somewhat civilized discourse can be achieved.

Well put.

No one is prepared to admit it - but the divisions are very deep, in the US political scene at the moment.

I think 2004 is going to be a seminal year.

The divisions are VERY deep.
And the commie lib pukes want to be 'united' and stroked, and loved. Bullshit. They want concessions. They want to weasel they're own perverse policies into place even though they got tossed out at the polls.

Fuck 'em. They brought this on themselves with their own actions. If anything, I think the divide will deepen. There are many on both sides who hate the other with a passion that is indescribable.

The last civil war had fairly clear geographical boundaries. I have no faith that a next civil war would be that 'neat'. If you can call hundreds of thousands of countrymen killing each other 'neat'.

Further, their is the deep support of provacateur nations like France and Germany who push the leftist agenda. They would love to see this happen in America.

The simple fact is this: Strong willed conservatives hate the commie lib pinkos and generally think of them as oxygen thieves. The leftist swine think conservatives are crazed fascist pigs who want nothing but a nation of white christians. Being, as Ken Hamblin say's, an unassuming colored guy, I could give argue to the leftist position. But it's not worth it. There is no love between us. None. Zero. After the 911 attacks, an event I thought might bring Americans back together, the divide deepened further. Since I spent much of that time out of CONUS I didn't realize just how bad things had gotten. Well, there is no doubt, the far left has divided this nation to a point not seen since the 1860s. And nothing seems able to convince either side to back down.

Let's offer true leadership. Suprise me!

Most people here do not have to look very far to have either known someone who perished on 9/11 in the Towers or have direct experience with the tragedy. Yet, it has been appropriated by the right wing as a cause celeb to strip people of their civil rights and invade sovereign nations.

Let's hope that there is a plan, but no one who has been paying attention really believes that this group of 'corporate minded' government officials really has a clue as to how to move us forward in a positive direction.

I am not hoping for disaster, on the contrary, I wish for only the best for our country and the rest of the world. I simply want to know that we are acting for the good of the nation and not to enrich those in charge.

You are correct. This election will probably ordain a new age within the government of America and perhaps continue to perpetuate the deceptive and self-serving, institutionalized corruption that this administration has developed.

The talk of civil war is nothing new. The White Supremicist faction and the right-wing fringe has been arming up for years for the eventual invasion or the 'revolution', but I always thought their enemy was people of dubious race and the government. Now I guess they are for the government...someone might want to explain this one to me.

Find a way to win the conflict in Iraq or at least control the carnage. I'm not there. Not even in spirit. I'm certain it is a terrible place to be, especially for the weekend warrior who wanted to serve 'one weekend a month' and go to college.

Stabilize the unemployment rate....again, not my problem today, I work, my wife works...so be it. I can relate to this one more as I was one who changed careers as the economy tanked and was out of work for a year.

So enjoy the win. My sincere congratulations.

God bless the 50million+ Americans like you...... may they endure

The citizens in Baghdad today likened Bush to a politically correct Hitler.

Frankly, I don't see how he is politically correct.

As you say Fixey, the problems cannot be seen from the inside. When will these people take note of the warning signs flooding in since 9/11?
