Bike forums are supposed to be for bike talk, you say, I didn't start about Magpies either, get it right mate.

Your problem is not mine, all too ready to have a go at someone who adds a little comment that doesn't suit you, tough I'm worried.

Thin skinned, touchy, get a life mate, someone else said something about magpies, that's got nothing to do with real cycling, real cyclists just get on with it and don't complain, unlike some?

Anyway just keep the wheels turning, I do and I "LIVE" in "QUEENSLAND, TOO"

Have a Good Festive season, and remember what the origin of it is as well? Mexicans will always come from south of the border?TBC

Same to you. Happy new year........Redneck!

nitrous, is that oxide, if so, take some and we'll all sleep better, "REDNECK" you wouldn't know the meaning of that either chum, as I said "GET A LIFE" and if you can't do that send me your address and I'll send you the fifty cents so you can phone and tell someone who really cares.

Another thing to remember junior, your "Playing Big League" now, don't get out of your comfort zone, of you might just hurt yourself?

Oh yes while we're at it mate, I'm not hiding behind a pseudonym, I've always stood up and taken it on the chin for those able to hand it out, trouble is there aint that many out there.

When you've been a "BIKE RIDER" (cyclist) as long as me you might know what that means, and if you "CAN'T FIGHT" I would suggest you wear a "BIG HAT".

Apart from that read the comment that I originally wrote it was in humour, you must lack the ability to appreciate that part of life and I obviously rattled you chain and you know what happens when the chain gets rattled?

but that's another story, I don't think you would know how to respond to that.

Have a good festive season and don't worry about it, just keep riding your bike but don't look back unless, it's to see who you've dropped over the last climb?TBC

Point taken. Thanks for teaching me a lesson old man.

Oh, by the way, I haven't been swooped by any magpies for a while.

Brian,

The point nitrous was making was that you were using inflammatory and unacceptable language on a public message board.

Perhaps when you are in the company of your friends, it may be appropriate for you to use 'pooftas' as a derogtory term, however when you are in public it is best to consider how others will feel about those sort of things. Have you ever considered that there may be gay cyclists who use this forum?

You may claim that it was 'just a joke' and they should just have a laugh with you, but perhaps it is hard for them to do so when they've been vilified for so many years by people calling them 'dirty pooftas' and what not. What you see as humour, especially when you use sensitive terms such as 'pooftas' and the '1,000 Mexians' with 'bad mannars', someone else is bound to see it as offensive. Nitrous clearly does, and I do to.

So please keep your vile comments to your self.

Cheers

David

crazney, as I said to nitrous, live with it, the expression "poofta's" was around long before the word "gay", became an expression to delineate the alternative approach to gender identification.

When you've been around as long as me you might just understand that there are words that have been around forever, that some choose today to express their pesonal preference regarding AC/DC.

That is their choice and I'm not going to tread on eggshells just to pasify the likes of you, because you think it inappropriate, get a life.

If it offends you, then tough too, I an not homophobic by any stretch of the imagination, as I too have relatives in my vast family who are of the opposite persuasion.

One of these is a regular contributor to the forum and he e-mailed me the other night after my post to say, "I bet it winds up some of your fellow countrymen"?

He has lived under my roof for a year when he came to OZ, he's a good bike rider too and see's no harm in what I say. Just in case you say he's being diplomatic, you don't know him either.

I'd sooner have him standing along side me in an altercation with a tin top than any one else that I know, he like me can dish it out, no matter what the size of the big poofta driving the car?

As for mexicans, they still come from south of the border, live with that too, we have to, as I say there are a lot who adapt to our way of life and live and enjoy what we have here.

We have several living on our estate, and around the area, but there are also the ones who come here and forever whinge about conditions in Queensland, what we don't have and what Victoria does have. My question to them is why are you here then?

So mate, just get a life and don't think you worry me with any comment you can make. It's a free world and I am one of those people who in a jam will even stand up for your rights too?

Have a Very Merry Christmas and of course a Very Prosperous New Year?

Guys, you can't argue with a moron, they will always drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

My advice is that it would be best for everyone to ignore Brian so that he can get outside into the beautiful Queensland weather rather than spend so much time on the computer deciding which emoticon to put at the end of each paragraph.

G'day nitrous, mate it's good the Maggies have stopped for the year, I wish someone would tell our local "Butcher Bird" the season is over too.

I'm only older in my years, not in my approach to life, which I live to the full, my philsosphy is just do it, no matter what, as the "Emirates" ad' says. "When was the last time you did something for the first time".

We're all a long time dead, so just enjoy the day, you never know when it will be your last one.

A little bit of wisdom given to me by my Father, who incidentally lived till he was 105 years of age. It goes, Yesterday is Hystory, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, that is why it's called "The Present"?

Have a good day and don't look back, unless it's to see, who you've dropped on that last climb.TBC.

Yeah but I was a smart Victorian I realised my mistake and moved back to Melbourne

The only things I miss about Queensland are Winter and Mt Cootha, apart from that I just hated living in glorified country town

ho ho ho, Merrrrrrrry Christmas.

G'day Mate, Smart Victorian or not, you can't beat the climb of Mt Cootha, that's where our club has it's time trial every year.

Pity you didn't get to like our Lovely Little Town, it used to be even better before we got invaded............all those M*&%#**#@s?

I come from the UK originally, and came to Oz to escape the madhouse there, I also lived and raced in Europe too, for three years back in the 50's.

I've lived here for 40 years and wouldn't live anywhere else in the world, it's the best palce on the planet, that's why every body and his dog is trying to come here.

This is definately the lucky country and let's all pray it stays that way.

I lived for a short time in Melbourne too but couldn't hack the bullsh*t madhouse of the place, it has some really good night spot and excellent restaurants too. The weather was a bit off for my liking too, I can't stand the cold that's why I came from the Northern hemisphere in the first place.

Now I only used Melbourne as a stopping off point for the OZ Grand Prix at Phillip Island, (M/cycles of course) Cowes is my pick of places to stay for a week while watching the guys do their thing.

Have a Good Christmas and an even better New Year. Keep the wheels in motion? TBC
