With such replies, I rest my case. You are far too bitter and angry for such a young age. Your continued use of profanity shows utter lack of creativity.

Anyone who admires and respects Bush is no more intellegent that he is.

Bush will be remembered for mainly being a war monger, basically being the target of 9/11 and hence (in my opinion) causing it. And being the most inarticulate and bumbling president in history. That is of couse assuming he commits no more catastrophies of the English language or any henious crimes on the international front in the next 4 years.

I dont need to tell you that the worst is yet to come.

Or perhaps you'd like a detailed description of my organising of national cycling events from the age of 23 till now ?

Don't cycle competitively anymore - but still getting the miles in each week.
For example , 3,120 miles between 17th March 2004 - 6th July 2004.
That's just a snapshot, that I have to hand.
(and I was contributing to this site throughout).

Plenty of time to cycle - plenty of time to write - plenty of time to do everything, if you put your mind to it.

G'day All, Well said limerickman, give it to 'em son, as you say, just because you give up competition, it doesn't mean you creep into some corner and vegitate or die.

Heaven forbid that ever happens, I still ride, not as much as the young fellows, but every day, between 45-70 kilometres, as the heat of the day and the fancy takes me. Not only that I have the good fortune to have two excellent cycles, both "Frezoni's" (Columbus Steel) with Campagnolo Equipment, which I rotate on a daily basis just so that they don't get worn out

It's a "Lifetime Commitment To A Way Of Life", something most people just don't seem to understand. My father God rest his soul, pasted away just two years ago at age 105. He stopped riding his bike at age 85 when he was knocked down by a tin top idiot. He worked as a docker until he was 75 years of age, then when he retired from work, he worked his 1/4 acre vegetable allotment till he was 92 years of age. I'm not sure I want to do all that, but I guess, I follow in his bike tracks to a certain extent.

On the subject of G.W.Bush, may I be allowed to make a comment, OK. Well, I saw a documentary on our local ethnic broadcaster SBS TV, it was titled "The World According to Bush", and it was a real eye opener for me.

G.W, his father and his Grandfather have been ducking and diving for so many years, they don't know how to live like the rest of us, it's all to do with money and the power it gives them.

Rumsfeld and a few of his cronies are into arms manufacture and guess who they sell arms to ? stand up and take a bow those who said the "US Military". I can't remember who the others were, but they control the contracts and who gets them, for the reconstruction of IRAQ.

It is almost sickening when you see this sort of stuff, but it goes on every day in all parts of the world. The pity is G.W. was voted back into the office for another four years and that's a fact we all have to live with, like it or not.

The American administration has a lot to answer for, around the world, they have, for so many years, been fiddling behind the scenes, playing one regime against another and waging silent war against the different factions. It's no wonder to any thinking person, that the likes of Al Quida have got their backs up and do so many terrible things in the name of freedom from the colonialism of the USA.

Where will it all end is anyones guess, I hope for the sake of the children of the world we leave them a habitable place to enjoy, where they may live fairly normal lives free from oppression.

Hey you lot, I was under the impression this "FORUM" was supposed to be about cycling, not politics, who brought up the subject of G.W.anyway. He may well ride an MTB, but I bet, he couln't ride out of sight on a dark night?

In closing for this time may I also say, I bet limerickman could still kick arse any day of the week, so just show a bit of respect to a good wheelman even if he is getting on in years, it aint over till the fat lady sings?(at your funeral).

Incidentally limerickman, I'll be in the "Green Isle" in May next year 2005, to visit the home town of my grandparents, on my Mums side, Wexford. I'm looking forward to it and I'm wishing my life away to get there.

That's it for now chaps' keep the wheels in motion and enjoy doin' it too?TBC

Thought you lot espoused freedom of expression - and here you are telling a youngster that shouldn't express an opinion !
Oh contraire, mon ami.

This encapsulates every piece of waffle about your so-called adherence to Merkin values.
You lot talk about freedom - yet you try to censor people.
Deary me.

the boy takes in interest in the running of his country and you opose it. Give the lad credit, you were probably reading comics and playing with your GI Joe at his age...you really need to shut up. No really, shutting up will be your greatest gift to mankind, the earlier the better.

Dont try and stifle young talent.

Well fair dues to you Brian - getting out on the bike is great and it doesn't matter if you're pedalling 10 miles or 100 miles, its the getting out that the main thing.
Longevity runs in your family - 105 is a great age to live to.
Living a healthy life certainly enhances longevity.
Hard physical work helps too.

So you're coming over to the Model County (Wexford) next year ?
Have you been here before ?
Wexford is a lovely place - Gorey, Enniscorthy, Blackwater, New Ross.
The Kennedy family emigrated from Wexford in the mid-1800's.
You should visit their ancestral home in Dugganstown near New Ross.
I went there once - well worth it.
Wexford is scenicly, very beautiful - they call it the sunny southeast as well
as the Model County.

As for me and my cycling days - well the competitive days are well behind me.
Married life and all that, but I still cycle and help to organise events at a national level here in Ireland.

What part of the world are you living in Brian ?

Hey Pro - I see that there is a lot of upset people in Scotland after that announcement by Hoon about the Black Watch being amalgamated with the other Scottish Battalions.
Perthshire is up in arms, according to the news.

Are people that pissed off about it ?

I would think that you would understand where I was coming from but perhaps not...

Yes, I wouldn't disagree that both you and I are nutcases on opposite sides of this political fence - but lets ask the man himself.

Ryan Velo - how old are you ?

There are a lot of angry noises about the whole affair. The Black Watch has been the mainstay of the British Armed forces for hundreds of years. This is a real slap in the face.

Certain groups have taken a vendetta against the Bliar govt. and vowed to vote them out of Scotland by standing themselves.

Scotland has never been given the credit it is due, always on the front line of any major international conflict. How many small countries can say that?

Anyway, Hoon is an arse and speaking of arses, bye bye Blunkett. What do you think of his resignation. Good or bad?
