Don't know what happend to your sorry ass, you brother seems like a good guy...GO HOKIES!

Whens the last time you been down to Alabama? & let me take a "shot in the dark" by making the wild assumption that you are probably white
Incidentally, I'm going to George Mason University which is'nt too shabby. I'm majoring in Gov't & Int'l Affairs in the Public Policy Dept. as a way of saying thank you to Washington; my former employer, to do my part to bloat the federal gov't to epic proportions
Where is "redneck" anyway. He is missed. Was'nt he "on the left" like me
Oh, & stop picking on ryan_velo !!! he's doing very well for someone of his youth.

"I do believe in charity but also believe in capitolism as in, an individuals right to excel at his or hers highest ability level and be rewarded for it."

Capitalism has some major disadvantages. Above all, it creates a selfish society where people are ruled by the "ego" ("I want"). It leads to a situation where the common good (such as the environment) is placed in peril because greed and consumption know no limits. So, if the appetite for material needs and possessions overules logic, we suffer collectively.

I think capitalism has certain advantages but it creates plenty of problems as well (like the ozone layer and pollution)

I do not believe in sharing the wealth without limits, so to speak, but yes help the less fortunate but not to the level of giving ,any and I do mean any, group or segment of individual rights that exceed their highest efforts and that exceed others rights.
I did not say results, but efforts.
We all need help sometime in our lives.

Yes there are always disadvantages to any system of economics or government ,but the problems are with human frailties not the systems themselves.
I myself certainly do not have the answer, just opinion.
If the forecasters are right the Ozone Layer or Fuel will be the least of humans problems.
Some suggest that the producers of food will be overwhelmed by 2045 resulting in world wide famine brought on by over population and the diminished areas that actually produce food.
I probably won't be here to experience it, but it would be just my luck to live that long.
I'll be the old dude with an oxygen bottle strapped to my new Look Kg 20061 laying in the ditch.

When you think about it, though, capitalism enhances those frailties you mentioned. I mean, in many cases it's a system whereby each person is encouraged to do business, work hard, get rich, be a winner (or a J R Ewing in the eighties). We've become so materialistic and selfish in modern times.
Of course, I'm not knocking the idea of being prosperous, working hard and enjoying the good things in life so I agree with moderate capitalism.
I think you tend to change as you get older. You have Madonna in the eighties who was totally selfish and materialistic but now she's become more spiritual and philosophical. Then, in the sixties, people were kind of less conventional and more inclined to escape materialism (the Beatles in India e.t.c.)
Sure, I like my bike and appreciate someone has to have the incentive to produce that bike, sell the bike and make money from the bike. I guess it's a question of balance.

Once you cross the line to fanaticism, whether greed, alcohol, drugs, religion, power wealth etc. you endanger yourself and those you effect to some degree,in my opinion.
Of course who judges what is excessive.
After all a nympho-maniac is someone that wants sex one more time than you do.

So, Mr. “A” average, just what kind curriculum are they teaching there in hooter Ville. My Seven year old can spell better than you . I certainly hope you are old enough to be cursing as much as you do.

By the way, I didn’t call you dumb. I implied that you had a metal plate in your head and that you were stupid but I never called you dumb. Oh, I also implied that you were mentally challenged if you thought that M.M. actually produced a “factual documentary”..

Also don’t hand me this George Bush born again mumbo jumbo bullshit line. How about Kerry appearing in every “African American” church that would let his flip flopping ass in? Funny, haven’t seen him begging to get into any “African American” Baptist churches lately…wonder what he was doing there? Isn’t he Catholic??? What was it that he was after??? Let me know if you can answer that simple riddle. That is if you get a chance to log on before recess…..Oh, one more thing…Instead of hoping you spelled something correctly, why don’t you freakin look it up. They do have dictionaries or at the very least spell check in mayberry, poduka or wherever the hell you are…But….you certainly know how to spell the “F” word…yep you’ve got one down clem.
Yes I noticed I made several gramar mistakes in my last post. I'm sorry! You can read it right? I mean this is just a forum! Whats the big deal? how did you get to become such a chicken shit? And daviess county middle school, I beleve is the 13th in the state. And ky has a good educational system, particularly around owensboro, louisville, and lexington vs. the rural areas. And you pick on me for not useing proper english, look at pressydent george dubya you love so much! He says stupid stuff and mispronounces words all the time! As I was saying, get your news source form a source besides fox news for a change, and open up your mind a little bit, you might see that there is crookedness on both the right and left. Nothing is perfect! Or do you want to continue to waist your time trying to insult a 14 year old?

You waffled on here a few months back about going away off to your homeland of Israel.

I had hoped that you had gone and left the rest of us to get on with some
decent conversation - instead of your filthy doublespeak.

Cut ryan_velo some slack. It's unfortunate that this country doesn't have more people, his age, participating in a political dialogue much less riding bikes.
ryan_velo, you have my blessing, so to speak.
