I'm more inclined to pin a medal on our current "tyrant".

I agree with you. Say what you will, you cannot deny that there have been no radical Islamic Terrorist Attacks on US soil since 09/11/01. Yes, I know that there have been over 3,000 American lives lost over there, but we can only speculate on how many American lives they have saved. There have been a lot of Iraqi and Afgan lives lost too, but President Bush's duty is to save American lives, not the entire world. I just wonder if it would have been handled differently if Ronald Reagan had been president? Thankfully it wasn't Jimmy Carter or we would be having daily attacks within our borders by now.

Explain how the US invasion of Iraq has prevented terrorist attacks?

Dead terrorists can't attack...duh. I'm glad we're fighting them in Iraq and not New York. I'm glad we're killing them in Afghanistan and not Anniston, Alabama.

But, tell me. What does any of this have to do with carrying a firearm for self-defense? Strawman? Red herring?

It seems pretty clear that there were no more terrorists in Ba'athist Iraq than in any other Middle Eastern country. Is the good ol' US of A under the Revered Leader Bush gonna take 'em all out?

We can only hope.

Let's let your strawman die with the terrorists and stay on topic, personal defense.

You think that the topic hasn't been addressed yet?

Well, I see you're still going at it with a whole lot of nothing...ad nauseum.

Go ahead. Lay on, Macduff, but please try to stay on the topic at hand; personal defense with a firearm.

You're so persuasive I'll just bet you're going to try and sweet talk the pistol right out of my hand, the AKS-74-U right out of Osama's and the dull knife right out of Zarqawi's. Party on Wayne!

I'm standing by for your most engaging points, but do excuse me if I'm preoccupied with cleaning my Ruger MK II stainless slabside while you wax eloquent on the Second Amendment.

Not only no, but HELL NO!

Fellow "men"?

More like fellow sheep.

Those that would give up liberty for security deserve NEITHER. Ben Franklin said it best.
So you don't believe in democracy and you have stated an intention to break the law.
Criminal.

We're not a "democracy". We are a constitutional, federal republic. There is a difference. Please try to keep up with history.

Democracy is mob rule and we have both a constitution and a representative form of government to prevent morons from tapering with our rights...although I never underestimate sufficiently persistent morons.

Like the great men that founded this nation, I am always ready to stand opposed to tyranny and those that would limit my right to defend myself and my family.

When the British came to Concord green to collect our rifles...they got them. Ammunition first.

It's an amusing little diversion. Chatting to people such as yourself is a little like going to the zoo. We don't really believe such things exist until we come across them. Does it ever become boring being a caricature?

It is never boring to be free.

If by "zoo" you mean vertabrate, yes, it must be interesting for you to look upon someone that has a spine.

I know the US isn't a democracy...I just wanted to hear it from you.
Just exactly how are you going to use these small arms to usurp a "tyrant" armed backed by a professional standing army and armed with Nuclear weapons, missiles, armour and aircraft? Give us some details.
Do you intend the "tyrant" to laugh him or herself to death?

Yes, you're a big, brave boy, Mr Bob. It takes a lot of guts to fill those paper targets full of lead.
