Respect worse riders from other nationalities
Armstrong is nowadays the best rider on july, but you american forummates should respect the european riders, that are worse than the americans, whom you seem to underestimate very much and even make fun at them, typical american behaviour??
cry baby simeoni? making fun at beloki, at ullrich.... armstrong will retire one day and you wont find any other rider like him, in spain we know about this after indurains retirement, and knowing you american people, you wouldnt like this attitude back towards americans |

Actually I'm interested to see how Basso develops over the next few years. I wouldn't mind seeing him do well. He needs to keep improving his time trials.
If another American comes along then that's great, too. As for letting an inferior competitor win because he wants to... I don't agree with that. If he wants to win he needs to earn it. The I'm-so-pathetic-you-have-to-let-me-win stuff doesn't have a place in the highest levels of athletic competition. A lot of guys at the Tour probably deserved a win in some way or another. It's up to them and their teammates to earn it. Eddy crushed people and was a hero. Now Lance says "no gifts" and he's a jerk. I know the situation and I don't have a problem with making someone you have issues with earn any success. They're big boys. Let them play. |

At the same time, I do understand his reasoning, but he should have not commented about letting him win. Just let it happen and say Basso worked hard. Then again, I don't have to deal with accusations of doping, death threats, being spit upon and being boo'd like he does. |

simeoni didnt deserve the stage basso did thats the difference!
basso was the only one to stick with armstrong when the others had been dropped this is a competition after all isnt it? and since simeoni and armstrong are like enemies hes not gonna treat him the same as his friend basso is he?! |

European riders need to keep there mouth shut and quit saying they are going to do this and that in the tour. When it comes time to walk the walk, they start crying and get in there car and go home. That is why American's make fun of them. Heras, Mayo, Zubelia, and many others provided me with lots of laughs this TDF.
I have a lot of respect for Ullrich though, his biggest enemy is himself. I look for him to take gold in the olympics, I don't think he's peaked yet. |

I think lance was right not to let simeoni have the stage win but i think its getting a bit too personal
Rite now in the tour as i speak simeoni has broken from the peloton and the usps lads and lance are desperately chasing him down i think lance should be playing safe today on the final stage I think the americans wont stop having good cyclists after armstrong there are a lot of good american riders. And i think it's true the europeans put down armstrong but dont like it when the americans do the same back which is a bit hypocritical why do either have to insult the other? |
