What a media invention this lad is.
He cant even give a straight answer. So his failure in the TDF is down to the weather or sickness or weight. The same excuses year after year after year. I dont understand why the media build up this man. ITV paradoxically extolling him while giving Armstrong grudging praise as Armstong destroys him day after day after day. The simple fact is Ullrich is not even approaching the same class as Armstrong and never was and never will be. |

Are you serious? JU is amazing, just lacks in training discipline. he is sometimes referred to as one of the greatest cyclists of all time, he just lacks that mental discipline

Well at least JU isn't as dumb as all the other gc contenders in this years tour. He is the only one that beleived Armstrong sandbagged the Ventoux TT. The other's thought they were on good enough form and sat arond and ate pizza and did not pedal there bike.
![]() Also JU is the only one to have at least tried an attack. Everybody else watched while they were on there sofa. |

You obviously don't read/ listen to anything about cycling. yes he does train, but he doesn't train at well as he should. He has the capabilities, but lacks discipline. Everyone speaks about it and knows about it, you must live under a rock. Especially since LA ALWAYS talks about him. Don't tell me about pain, I work extremely hard on my bike. I'm in good enough shape that I can agree with LA and say, 'no chain' occasionally when I ride. I'm sorry if you're so out of shape that you are always in pain... Bummer...

You can be a very good athlete naturally, but just not train. Thus, you may be beaten by a lesser gifted athlete who trains harder and more often. Not to say that Lance is lesser gifted.

How do you explain the fact that Ullrich would be a 4 time TdF winner if it weren't for Armstrong? He won it once and finished 2nd 5 times, 3 times to Armstrong. There aren't very many 4 time Tour winners. |

Hey Dermo and DS0709, where are your responses to this? Did you actually read something and found out you speak nonsense?

Hey Dermo or should that be Dermot ? I suspect using the abbreviation, you might well be Irish. If you are - can you do me a favour ? Stop talking through your arse, please. Limerickman (formerly of Dublin - where the name Dermot is abbreviated to Dermo). |

My response, if the queen had balls she'd be king. He didn't win, German fans who spat at the riders suck, this isn't soccer, and history was never written by the guy that comes in second. Thats a great stat, I came in 2nd 5 times to the same guy, after 2 or 3 times, ya think you would get your act together and train your tail off or no, just come into the tour fat and out of shape again. Yep, your right, this guy is amazing! Amazingly lazy, this is supposed to be his job! No wonder he gets his but kicked by this kid from Tx. every year. Maybe Lance won't ride the tour next year, then you might have a chance! Good luck with that! |
