Lance could/will win a seventh if everything stays essentially the same (Ullrich takes long vacations, Basso doesn't train for TT along with mountains, etc.).

I believe that the new 3 year(?)sponsorship with Discovery requires his presence next year...but I'm not sure. Erik |

I don't think anyone is within one year of beating LA - if he trained the same (focusing on TDF) and had a similar team to this year's team, I'd bet you good money that LA would win again. Age might catch up with him, but age catches up slowly. |

I agree. I think the age factor is overdone. Discipline and consistent training and rest go a long ways toward delaying the effects of age. Between last year and this year, Lance has shown much greater form. Even a viral infection is a far greater threat to a Tour win than one more year on the calendar. |

Does anyone have a plan to stop him and USPS?
Other than a fan jumping out of the crowd and htting him with a club on a mountain stage. Everyone loves to hate a winner! I truely hate Lance Armstrong. I truely hate Michael Schumaker. I hate Real Madrid.... I love Greece...and Jacob Pil! Of course Armstrong will race and win the TDF next year. The only threat on the horizon that i can even think about is a man who did not even ride the TDF this year. Cunego. Maybe he can do it. But remember, so many of us were thinking it would be Simoni 2 years ago. |

I'm actually not sure if lance should go for a seventh win next year although im a big fan of his this might just be rubbing salt in the wounds
the allegations about lance will continue further if he decides to race the tdf again. the tdf organisers already tried to stop him with this years route but it hasnt. the french and germans etc are out to get him and im sure they could if they wanted to. There have already been fears that drugs will be planted in his room etc etc. I think perhaps lance should concentrate on some smaller races like the spring classics and the new tour of britain this would actually make him more popular as would give more people a chance to see him in action. Seven would be amazing so i think lance fans everywhere would love it but i think at the same time he has to be careful not to go too far. perhaps he wouldn't win next year? what then? would he end on such a high as if this years was his last tdf? Whatever he chooses the lance fans will support it |
