In busy, crowded inner-city streets, confronting (or perhaps vague-wandering) behaviour by pedestrians is making life hell for both cyclists and motorists. T |

my (least) favourite is getting confronted by sodding pedestrians crossing a busy street AT THE PEDESTRIAN LIGHTS AND NOT WAITING FOR THEM TO TURN GREEN Drivers, peds (and us) are more and more thinking assuming that the law is defined by 'what i can get away with', not mutual respect dor each others' rights and safety Victoria St Richomnd where people of oriental persuasion have a background of far more 'organic' road rules continuoisly standing on the the raod waiting to cross. Im gonna get hurt by one of these people one day...

Well we purchased a couple Air Zound2's as a direct result of funs & games on Victoria St. I don't believe it's purely a asian problem, this shopping strip is full of non-attentive types of all backgrounds, either walking, stumbling around, or driving cars erratically. Bike lane alert, Elizabeth Street, Richmond, bike lane towards city. Much broken glass in little piles btw Church & Hoddle. Don't like it? that stretch is a nightmare and after a series of punctures over the alst few months i now avoid E-street. Vic St is a shocker for glass too. No i didnt mean it was a purely asian problem. Anyone is capable of it, the nature of that street just lends itself to much wandering about (Chapel, Sydney Rd, etc are all the same)

Gee I must have missed the vote when you were appointed spokesman for
this group. You first lesson in manners follows,"It's impolite to call people names & reflects more on the person making them than on the recipient". Next lesson in logic, "it will probably have the opposite effect to the message you are incapable of imparting without abuse. Second lesson in logic," if you don't like what I say, don't reply. That will serve two purposes. I will get around to contributing something usefull to the group & you can try & get over your anal fixation with your version of netiquette. If you can't help yourself & must reply, try & think of something original. Your contributions to the group lately all seem to revolve around the word "fuckwit" I'll be around for a while, so GET USED TO IT :-) John L. -On Wed, 21 Jul 2004 00:36:45 +1000, "DRS" <drs@remove.this.ihug.com.au> wrote: >"John L" <johnlawrence.spammerssoff@westnet.com.au> wrote in message >news:lf9mf0djo7rmbohj2i3fd3sgspgcq6f531@4ax.com > >[...] > >> I realise that, my post was aimed at D R Sole. Maybe if you used an emoticon your comments would make more sense ;-) Then again, that would probably upset our anonymous DRS even more. John L. |
