Just me/tony being 'puppyish' PS wots the forecast? -- |

What time do you guys finish up normally? I'm still considering the
coffee offer if you're interested, but it'd have to be sometime in the morning still... And it would involve one more hill! -- |

And it would involve one more hill! we are normally back by 10-10:30. and dont worry, there are plenty of places where you can gain some good speed, and also some places where you gain very little, espeially when youb have not had the mostnutritious food the night before and you spend time walking...........not that it happened to me ![]() -- |

BTW I just did a test run of tomorrow's ride (motorised two wheel transport) and wish I hadn't seen the hills on the Warrandyte route! Why can't my 39T ring be in before next week. DaveB |

I'm actually slack and ride Beach Rd Sat and Sun plus a bit of spinning during the week being a vet just trying to keep fit. I start from around Kew Boulevard but live in North Warrandyte, so its bike in back of car job to Kew. Last Sunday, bit of late start 8.00 - 8-30 saw the group going down Harris Gully Road plus a few who stopped at the top who obviously didn't want to be part of the direct action. You could easy do more than 80 km down this hill if you were stupid enough. On the flat, bullshit!, vertical drop, yes! Cheers -- |

A 'lead-out' would be even better ![]() > > > > -- Not bragging by any means, but I've done 85+ down Reynolds Road from where it hit Tindals Road, towards Springvale Road. Can't remember exactly, but 88kph rings a bell. Not a bad road surface and dead straight - if it's speed you're after in that area... I was circling around through Warrandyte from Rongwood and knew the hill, so thought "why not? I feel the need, the need for speed". Probably not helpful unless you're heading back to Box Hill like me. Good luck with the speed run. |

Well, 3:15am.. so my excuse for any crap riding tomorrow is lack ot sleep and bourbonitis... I'll TRY and make it to Old Warrandyte Rd around 7.20. If not, I'll probably do the half again later on.. and then some street fixin'!!! hippy |
