Dan, it's a very unhealty tactic to attempt to deflect direct questions by
trying to put them back onto the party asking the question. I didn't ask you
about my dinner parties, I asked you about backing up your claim that
there is a dominant posting presence of SS etc. A simple glance here
http://makeashorterlink.com/?K1EF22308 shows a pretty good variety of
topics, at least 30 or so threads, none of which relate to singlespeeds at
short glance.

BTW, there's only one "e"

"......smoke you on a trail anytime." Wasn't that what you said? Do you
stand by that or were you just talking smack?

Inquiring minds want to know...(though most of us have figured it out at
this stage).

You actually went riding?! And on a SS? Well so did I!

And I'm not shoving it down anybody's throat, or making a big deal out
of it being a SS. I have 2 or 3 geared bikes I ride now and then,
too, especially on the longer, epic-type rides.

Dan may not know and may not even know he doesn't know, but he should get
one point for being willing to drive 10 - 12 hours one way from NV to CO.
Not that it should bring him even, but it should count.

This whole race deal is a bad idea. Especially since a simple glance at
some race results should prove the point. I know a guy who won the elite
geared race, got off the bike and then won the ss race. His fastest lap
time was on ss. I know people who are faster than me every day and the only
way I know if they are geared or ss is when they stop and I happen to look
at their rear drop out.

Hell, a quick look can find a national event with a ss finishing 5th
overall.

"Other weekend highlights included watching the Trek-Volkswagen mechanics
prepare Travis Brown's Trek T1 single-speed for the short track, complete
with a rigid titanium fork and mustache handlebars. "I feel like I get so
much more out of my body when I ride my single speed," explained Brown who
is the reigning singlespeed world champ and has the tatoo to prove it. He
finished fifth in the Durango short track, first-placed American after
Horgan-Kobelski went down"

The long and short of it is that 'chasis' and 'transmission' technology
does not make a huge difference in racing results - the engine does.

Racers race, riders ride. Confuse the two at your own risk.

*You know, it's kinda funny he was riding a TREK!

I've been in the routine ever since the snow melted off here. Five to
six days a week of riding and still a little time to stir the shitpot.

Apparently you suffer from more than just one form of dementia. You
are the one who stated that you could smoke me on a trail anytime.
Anytime means just that, anytime. I stated a place and time and now
all you can do is tap dance. Take up the challenge, or piss off.

It's become painfully obvious that Vo2lker has only one point and it
is on top of his empty nugget.

Too funny. That's a very nice play on one point. I didn't think they
taught english at Rock'n' Roll High School. You win.

Do we have a doctor on board who can help make the distinction?

I'll add that to the list of jobs I would rather not have.

Since the weather's changing, are you heading south anytime soon to
ride?
