Default Jersey etiquette

I have read about how people get ragged on for wearing "the" yellow jersey (TdF)
while riding, but does this extend to all yellow jerseys? What about , for
example, a Brazil national soccer team shirt or an LA Lakers jersey? What about
a plain yellow shirt? Should everyone stop wearing yellow rain jackets?
Enquiring minds want to know.

Get a grip. There is only one yellow jersey, we all know what it looks
like and only an asshole wears it without having won it.

Trolls have to ask.

You think people are born knowing this shit?

You must mean this one:

http://www.trekbikes.com/accessorie...category_id=196

Probably these are not OK either:

http://www.trekbikes.com/accessorie...product_id=2433

http://www.trekbikes.com/accessorie...product_id=2434

It's a mine field out there, just want to be prepared to be appropriately
contemptuous.

Yes. Everyone must wear plain grey T-shirts.

Etiquette, schmetiquette.

Visibility is improved wearing yellow. It's the closest color to the
one that was selected for fire trucks and emergency equipment -- that
sort of lime-greeney-yellow color. If someone makes a jersey in that
firetruck color, I'll give up the yellow.

Until then I could give a rabid rat's rump about who rags me. Nobody
is ever going to mistake me for a TdF winner wannabe, anyway.

My favorite jersey (I wore it out) was bright yellow and had a great
big "Less Than" ( < ) sign on its back, like the roadside signs that
tell drivers they'd better get over or be in the ditch on rural roads.

Performance offers their house brand (Classic?) short sleeve jersey in "Hi
Viz", which is just the color you describe.... :-)

Actually, if you're really concerned about visibility, flourescent pink is the
best color. Many studies have been done on this subject, and pink always wins.

Start wearing a flourescent pink jersey, and we'll see...

You can wear one as long as you are prepared to defend it to anybody that
attacks. If you do not answer to those attacks, well ......that's when it
starts getting sour

If your sarcasm is obvious you don't need to say so.
