Aah. its like watching a hamster in one of those wheels running
endlessly and wondering when they are going to realise they are getting
nowhere and obviously do not get it.

People are speaking out... I don't think they think you're right,
though. Are you listening to them?

Why am I reminded of Moe holding monkey knife fights in "The Simpsons"?

"Parry! Parry! Stab stab stab! Ooooh, he ain't pretty no more..."

"It's the shitheads who are ruining this forum, them and the fools who
don't care if they take over."

Tsk tsk, namecalling... very mature, I don't think.

Most of usenet is unmoderated.

> and anyone is entitled to post what and how they like.

However this isn't exactly true. Just because there isn't some big
censor restricting everthing someone writes doesn't mean that its a
free for all. There are certion technical requirements (that most
everyone with a non-broken news client will be able to fullfill), and
there are socal requirements as well.

Part of these socal requirements is netiquette. Its not enforced by
moderation but instead enfoced by social pressure.

As I understand it in long road races (like the TdF) there is a
cycling etiquette. If you ride in a rude mannor you don't get
disquilified, however you do run into problems with your fellow
riders.

The same thing with netiquette, since the forum isn't moderated a
unacceptable post isn't going to be rejected, but people (like DRS)
are going to kick up a stink.

OK, This part is.

Agreed.

And, it appears, DRS then also has to contend with social pressure. :-)
