Rockin' and ridin'; That's what weekends were made for.

You know, I've seen a lot of people posting to various
message boards that have this bike, so it may be more
popular than I thought. I rarely see Fuels on the trail.

That's my current plan. Thinking of what XC FS rig I should
get next. Leaning toward Santa Cruz. Also considering Rocky
Mountain, Yeti, Ellsworth, Intense. What do you ride?

Yesterday was the first time I've ridden it. What an awesome
trail! Saw a lot of burned forest, but things are growing
back nicely. The scenery was spectacular. Rock gardens were
very fun as well for the most part.

ROFL! Good thing it's an old girlfriend and not current.
I've been there too with the psycho women.

We play wherever we can get gigs. San Clemente, Oceanside,
Corona, San Diego, San Marcos. Our gigs page has a full
history of every place we've played in the past two years.

I believe I'm due for a rest. I might do some weight

And now you're running the new chainrings with the old chain
and getting chain suck. Am I close?

Oh god. You're digging yourself in deeper! Ventana! He
doesn't like Santa Crud and he already told me he doesn't
like Ellsworth.

Nope. New chain.

That people who own Fuels leave them sit in their garage
while they post on message boards all day? :-)

LOL. Any idea what it could be? I'm thinking maybe bottom
bracket. The stock BB that came with the Fuel was replaced
by the shop when the bike was new because the BB that Trek
spec'd was something like 1.5 mm to short. That one was a
square taper BB.

Then when I upgraded cranks, I had to get a new, splined BB
to work with the Shimano XT cranks. Maybe it's too short? If
you can't tell already, I'm not too schooled in the
mechanical aspects of the sport.

I'd like to solve this problem before I chew up my
rear chainstay. Heard a lot of complaints about Fuels
and chainsuck. I thought it had something to do with
frame design???

Normally it's the Bontrager cranks on the Fuels. Switching
to XT normally solves the problem. Check out Jonathan Levy's
page on chain suck for possible solutions:

BTW, the a.m-b FAQ can be found here: http://www.j-
