Trees grow by absorbing CO2, hence the amount of vegetable matter automatically increases. Eventually you have to crop the forest, and replace it by new planting. The cycle re-commences. -- Terry Harper, Web Co-ordinator, The Omnibus Society 75th Anniversary 2004, see http://www.omnibussoc.org/75th.htm E- mail: terry.harper@btinternet.com URL: http://www.terry.harper.btinternet.co.uk/ |

I consider 'animals' to be unnecessarily unspecific. I do understand about the warm blood flowing through the large four chambered heart maintaining the very high* metabolism rate they have, though, which means they are members of the class mammal which is a member(indirectly) of the animal kingdom. However, it's considered rude to call people animals except in a biological context. A *sadly not high enough, in over 25% of US cases. |
