Yeah, he's been having trouble lately. In the TTT, USPS decided to leave him behind, expecting him to make the cutoff time to remain in the Tour. He did make it. The reason they gave was that it was too risky to have him in the group. His form hasn't been that great lately, and he may have crashed during the TTT. But that says much about the depth of the USPS team. They still took number one in the TTT with an 8 man, not 9 man squad. |

Yeah it was a very impressive TTT from them. It would've been interesting if they had Benoit Jochaim instead of Noval in the team and whether they would've ridden an even faster time. On the subject of Noval, did he get involved in another crash today?? |

Whether USPS would have ridden faster with Joachim or VHP is irrelevant, because USPS would have gained the same amount over all rivals. So, Noval was a good decision and he is going to help LA out in the mountains (low/mid).

cyclingnews.com-Hamilton was happy with his team's runner-up spot, but a bit bemused by all the time lost from four flats and a broken handlebar for Santi Gonzalez that needed a bike change. "I'm happy with the way the team rode today - they were very strong and we wanted to win. So I'm disappointed for them we had so many problems," explained the Man from Marblehead after Stage 4.

Anyone recall someone waiting for the Yellow Jersey (or anyone else for that matter) before Lance? I recall Greg Shouting at the top of his lungs "I'm Loseing the Tour" when he puntured... I recall the Columbians attacking Hinault when he ditched in 85 (?)....this waiting is bollocks......LA waited for JU when he had the tour sown up anyhow, if I was Bianchi team boss last year JU would have got his bum booted for waiting!
